Long

Short

I hacked a lot of locks off because I was getting fed up with it getting matted. I like the new, short look. It's easier to manage, and it's a change. Fella didn't want me to cut it, but I think he'll like it short.

I'm very impressed with my cutting skills. 1 mirror, 1 pair of flower scissors. It's even, I don't look like an elf (once I cut it so there were long bits either side of my ear, but nothing covering the actual ear).

Anyways, what do you think?

Posted by: gothictheysay Jun 10 2005, 07:09 PM

I like! You look great either way, obviously, but the new haircut is cute and suits you well. And my hair isn't even that long, and I'm trying to grow it longer, but I'm still tempted to cut it. It can be bothersome.

Posted by: Sir_Psycho_Sexy Jun 10 2005, 08:16 PM

ahh! change! we fear change! *hides*

Hard to tell from the piccies, are you coming notts? I'll tell you then smile.gif

Posted by: arachnidoc17 Jun 10 2005, 08:20 PM

Anything is better than dreadlocks, IMO. Can't wash 'em so your head gets very greasy.

Posted by: Forever Unknown Jun 10 2005, 09:01 PM

Darling, you are the sex no matter what.

Think I likes it short. I likes it long too. So, either way - you win!

Posted by: Cath Jun 10 2005, 11:16 PM

Both very SMEXY as ever froggy. But the short deinatly has an edge on the cute factor. biggrin.gif

Posted by: funked)out_frog Jun 10 2005, 11:19 PM

Aww shuks *blushes*. Thanks me dears. I do think short = cuter too wink.gif

Sadly P@, I won't be comming to the Nottingham meet sad.gif, but I wil be in Glasgow?

arachnidoc17, you can actually wash dreadlocks. I let my hair get quite gressy too compared to white people's hair anyways, infact I put grease in. If I didn't it'd be dry and brittle. 0o

Posted by: saucy_tara Jun 11 2005, 12:20 PM

You just look uber cute either way honey smile.gif DAMN YOU!!!!

Posted by: damned and dastardly Jun 11 2005, 01:15 PM

I love your hair short! Long is cool too, but personally I am in love with the short.

aww...suckage, still, I'll probably be in Glasgow...probably...planning ahead isn't my forté.

I think you have lovely hair in it's own right (I've allways likes that kind of curl:wub: ).

I personally think that once I get around the pics short is cuter and probably easier to take care of, the long looks like at lot of conditioner would be required to stop it turning into a tangled mess.

Posted by: zivane Jun 11 2005, 03:16 PM

I dig the short. ^.^

Posted by: Mata Jun 11 2005, 10:52 PM

I prefer the short cut. It might have less retro-funk, but it really opens out your face and that works well for you. For some people, their most interesting feature is their hair. You've got an expressive face so it works well to show it!

Posted by: Chronotub Jun 11 2005, 11:06 PM

Hard to tell from the pics but I think it looked better long, still looks good though.
Also you have done a good job cutting your own hair, most people I know who try that end up in a right mess.

Posted by: funked)out_frog Jun 12 2005, 12:25 AM

Thanks biggrin.gif

I've always thought I had quite an animated face, so I guess it makes sense.

This is actually the first time I have cut my hair on my own and not needed to ask some one to even it out. But in saying that, if my hair was straight It'd look poo. Once I cut my hair whilst it was wet and curly (as I always do). A few days later I decided to straighten it. I had a mullet. I kid you not. It was aweful! lol Hopefully when I try this time (when I find the straighteners), it wont be a mullet wink.gif

Posted by: LoLo Jun 12 2005, 01:15 AM

You look smashing either way. wink.gif

That's pretty much the opposite effect for me, nothing really happens when my hair is clean, but when it gets greasy (which is every morning) the locks stick together and it looks very unkempt. I'm just getting a buzz.

...Yes, you are a lot better off having it short, I could imagine what a nusiance it would be if it were long.

Posted by: funked)out_frog Jun 12 2005, 11:09 AM

A buzz?

Posted by: arachnidoc17 Jun 12 2005, 09:23 PM

A buzz-cut. Kind of like a crew cut (standard U.S. Army hair cut), but it's the same length all around.

I'm getting mine to be a third of an inch.

Posted by: Snugglebum the Destroyer Jun 14 2005, 11:21 AM

I think I preferred it longer, although (in desperate bid to cover ones arse wink.gif ) as long it's still uber soft it's all good, sweetie. smile.gif

Posted by: funked)out_frog Jun 14 2005, 11:39 AM

smile.gif, Snuggs ,I choped off all the ratty ends too, so yeah it's still soft, in fact softer. Like a baby's bum, but hairy. Kinda like a soft haired baby's bum.

I never seen a hairy baby's bum I dont think, I'm thinking it'd be soft haired though.

I'm not sure I can comment on the haircut after Jon's helpful adjective. tongue.gif

Posted by: Mata Jun 15 2005, 12:53 AM

He does rather have a way with words, doesn't he?

Posted by: Jaq Jun 15 2005, 04:02 AM

With long hair you've got a retro afro thing, but it covers your face in a glowing fuzzy hairy veil.

the new short hair is the SMEX! It's all sproingy and soft at the same time, and it looks a though if you really wanted to you could join some elite undercover fighting squad. Of death. And good hair. Hmm.. on second thought that just might be the khaki t shirt that's giving me the elite fighting squad of death vibe.

Either way, its all good.

Posted by: pgrmdave Jun 15 2005, 04:58 AM

I like the shorter hair.

The wife has a veto on all my arse-feeling exploits these days, especially where primates are concerned. Subject to her approval, absolutely.

See you in August (by which time your chimp's arse may be significantly chimpier)

You have lovely hair either way, although the short brings out your eyes. And short hair is SO much nicer in the summer--not all hot and stuff--, especially when it's curly. Curly hair goes mad in the summer.

Posted by: PsychWardMike Jun 20 2005, 03:10 AM

I'm a fan of the bigger hair, myself for whatever it's worth. However, I understand the practicality of the shorter hair so I'd recommend growing it in the winter mayhaps?

Posted by: funked)out_frog Aug 5 2009, 09:58 PM

Got my hair cut again the other day and dyed it .... Before that it was just a kinda brunette Meg Ryan thing going on.

It's a lot lighter than it looks in the pics.

Posted by: IrishGuy Aug 5 2009, 11:23 PM

That's just freaking awesome. Love it. It looks really good on you.

Posted by: elphaba2 Aug 6 2009, 02:20 AM

THAT! THAT is what I want in my life. Many moons ago, I had a mohawk and spiked it with cheapo gel--at the end of the day it sort of fizzled and when I ran my fingers through my hair it stopped being crunchy BUT the hair stayed up, happily defying gravity in a soft, faintly curly mohawk. and then the company stopped making the crappy gel and I never figured out how to duplicate it.

You have that dream hair, darlin'. With a touch of Morrisey. It looks awesome, you are rocking it out. YAY hair

Posted by: funked)out_frog Aug 6 2009, 10:48 AM

Thanks happy.gif

Did have one side shaved, and the other short over Christmas, the middle was straight. But I prefer the curly-stands-up-on-it's-own-don't-need-no-gel-curly-mohawk.

elphaba, you got any pictures?

Posted by: Mata Aug 6 2009, 12:18 PM

That looks great!

One of the main incentives for my scalp cutting a-go-go earlier this year was so that I can have a mohawk biggrin.gif Hopefully it will be possible in a few more months. I've got new stubble on my head now!

Posted by: Cath Aug 6 2009, 05:42 PM

Well if you didn't 'gasm so quickly when I caress it with my soft soft hands, I would go further. The fore[head] play always seemed to be enough.

New year, new hair.

Have spent the last year an a bit growing out the mowhawk, and now for something a bit brighter!

Ginger, then

Red!

I had wanted it pinker, but hoping it will rinse out to a pinky colour.

Anypoo, how are you all going on the hair front, or... hairless front?

Posted by: Pikasyuu Jan 31 2011, 02:13 AM

I was considering getting it dyed silver/ grey but in a way I like that my hair is its natural colour. It needs a cut, either way.

Afraid I didn't- it was a snap decision this lunchtime at a friend's house, and I don't think there would have been enough to make a donation.
