The Other Side forums - suitable for mature readers! _ Daily life _ Goose? Hell no, a Pellican!

Posted by: Daria Oct 26 2006, 01:27 AM

I found this today- http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/london/6083468.stm
I think my favourite part of the story is:-

QUOTE
An RSPB spokesman said: "It is almost unheard of for a pelican to eat a bird. Their diet should be strictly fish."

Although the explanation of how it
QUOTE
"Then it managed to get the pigeon to go head first down its throat. It was kicking and flapping the whole way down."
tickled me somewhat.

They don't need to poison the birds in Trafalgar Square, they just need to let some Pelicans loose.

Edit- yes I realise I misspelt the title. I'm allowed to because I am cool.

That reminds me of this:

It is proof then. Pelicans shall usurp geese of their evil status and will attempt to take over the world.

Or something.

That is amazing weird.

How very strange, maybe they are zombie pelicans!!!!!!! biggrin.gif

Posted by: Mata Oct 27 2006, 08:38 AM

Oo, zombie pelicans... That would explain quite a lot. If all the birds that had ever lived were now coming back to life and craving flesh then I think we'd have a big problem.

EDIT: Swans are evil too... http://comic.matazone.co.uk/2006/10/27/but-what-about-swans/

I live right on the river soar in the middle of Leicester, it's full of Swans (and a few Canadian Geese) and them being pandimensional, avian chavs would explain why they always keep me up/wake me up by being noisy. At lleast they don't play R'n'B at full volume from their walkman phone which is totally unable to cope with the bass.

Yikes! Creepy. Even creepier that that heron had the foresight to drown the bunny before eating it. *shudder*
