Photoshop

Potatoe shop!!!

Sorry, lame joke there.

What exactly is the black stuff wound round your body? Looks a little like gaffer tape. Very effective whatever it is.

Yep, potatoeshop indeed.

Yep, it's the same body wrap that comes in unthreatening-pink except mine is scary-black smile.gif I just like the shine that you get from it.

While I'm here I've done another version...

Am I blind or is the black and white background reversed? (so white is then black and vise versa) What's this called?

I'd love to have the creativity and knowledge to create art using software like photoshop.

www.deviantart.com is a great place to get idea's from and the such but I'm really not 'computery'enough to create work like this. I'd love to learn though.

How easy is photoshop to use Mata?

Would it be particualy complictaed being as I've never even touched the software before in my entire life? I don't even have photoshop on my pc atm.

I've watched my bf complete a tutorial to make a flame effect that looked really impressive. It looked very complicated though unsure.gif blink.gif

it's not that hard really, most of it is messing around with filters which is just changing a few numbers, and using thigs like the lasso and blur tools, my mate's really good, he does photo restoration....if anyone's interested

It's not too bad as long as you're not in any hurry. You can create good things without too much trouble if you get good source material, but doing that is a skill in the first place. I went out recently to a secluded train station and took a memory card full of textures from the decaying stuff to use and it's serving me well!

I taught myself Photoshop about ten years ago, my tutors actually told me not to use it but I'm rather glad I ignored them smile.gif

I was quite inspired by this site http://www.digitalapocalypse.com/gallery.html but I think it's clear that the guy has a rather nice load of textures and software set up for him to play with!

Crap. I'm on 56k so I may have to screw that idea. I could always ask the boyfriend to bung it onto a cd I suppose. Then there's the possibility that he may laugh at me. Most of my friends are in a general agreement that I suck when it comes to computers.
I'm learning new things everyday and having a faff with something like this doesn't hurt does it?

Absolutely Weej, it never does any harm to have a go with these things. Start off with a few tutorials and you'll get the hang of it in no time.

PW - if you make anything good then post it on here smile.gif

The link to the tutorials you posted look really hard. It looks like it assumes that the users know how to use all the simple functions where as I know sweet FA about how to use this programme. Gah... dry.gif

If you wanted to make something big then buy black PVC and some silicone spray to make it really shiny, it'll be loads cheaper than a huge amount of rolls (and less likely to be unwrapped at any point during the night!).
