I, for once, have a very short rant for today.

In skills for living, we're making stuffed animals for our sewing unit. The teddy bear that I'm making is Very, Very, fuzzy, and by the time I'm done sewing for that class, I'm covered in white fuzz that won't let go of my clothes, no matter what. I looked like I was growing mold for the rest of the day.

That wasn't as short As I thought it would be, but oh well.

Um, kay. My friend is being an idiot-- she doesn't want to go out with me to my fave hangout, because she KNOWS she'd hate it, even though she's never been there. Jesus, it's just a nice alt dance club. It's not gonna kill her to come out. And it's not like we've done anything as a group for the past oh, 4 months of so, because we've all been having issues, but we're fine now, so why the heck is she being so snarky?

On another note, I'm very bloody insecure about my b/f even tho I know I shouldn't be. Bleah.

Grr. I was going to go up to Camden today with some of my mates and then my parents just decide out of the blue that we have to go to Ikea to buy me a bed (my elbow fell through my matress) and so now I can't even get my mum a mothers' day present because I can't go out.

I'm completely stuck as to what could be the next scene after this one in the Cult of Brother Black Sheep animation. I know what can come after that scene, but I have to make it all in the right order otherwise I get confused. I was thinking of small movie clips of CoBBS at the MAA trying to get unaddicted flying across the screen to some cheesy music. But anyway, that's my rant. And although it may not sound much it really is bugging me big time.

Also I'm using another keyboard which makes the most annoying of clicky noises when you type on it. And when you type at a considerable speed it can drive you insane. Although I am actually typing better with it.

I'm posting this for my roomate for, in a way, her rants become my own.

Her bank messed up heraccount ballance, so the $200 she thought she had is suddenly gone. This would be more of a mini-rant, had she not written a check for $125. Again, normally bounced checks could be straightened out. But it turns out that the bounced check was for her housing deposit for next semester, and housing here goes amazingly fast.

I was talking to someone the other day when all of a sudden, I blinked...and my contact fell out. Now that I write it out, it doesn't seem like such a bad thing... anyway, can you imagene talking to a new person, and then something that looks like part of their eye pops out? yeah...not such a great way to greet someone....

I wondered when someone else was gonna do another one of these.

Anyway my sort of rant is about the way some cuts hurt so much more than others. You know what I mean I'm not talking about the obvious cut your thumb right off type thing. It's just the other day I got the equivalent of a paper cut in my job and f*ck! Did it hurt yet at other times I'll put a knife right through my thumb & I'll barely even feel it.

ARGH! I am sooo damn mad! Some little b*tch decided that it would be a good idea to steal my DT work, (she has done this before already,) pull off what was in the process of sticking to it, and then stick her own thing on it! I told the teacher but he didn't believe me even though the pieces left over from cutting it out fitted in perfectly. I then went and confonted her and she just began crying. She then told her teacher, who told my teacher and now I'm in deep trouble. Apparantly she's invented some sob-story about me threatening her and so now my head of year and this evil, evil teacher who is really scary are involved and none of the teachers like me and just AAAARRRRGGHGGHHH!!!

Ok, I'm done. I love this thread! Thanks Voices! smile.gif I'm not sure if any of that made sense though...

Bastard lecturer! He decided that instead of learning prolog, like we're supposed do, we'd do a piece of coursework on the future of AI. Which is all well and good, and quite interesting, but we've got way too much stuff to research in such a short time. We've got to give a 15 minute presentation, including a few minutes each going 'in-depth' about out chosen technology (go speechrecognitionandnaturallanguageprocessing!). I hate presentations. And to make things worse, I was the only person in my group who turned up to the first meeting, so I'm the group leader, which means I've got to do more speaking and organising. I also hate having to be organised.

Yes, before I write all of this out, I'll adimit to getting worked up over nothing.
(feel free to skip this)
This kid In my PE class, (and the rest of the class, mostly) Have somehow gotten the impression that I suck at everything that I do. I was walking onto the court, and had barely even touched the ground (I had been sitting on the bleachers) when he said "your goalie" I normally wouldn't have been offended, beacause my team normaly stinks, and being the goalie means that your good, and they trust you the save their arses. But not today, today He knew that (or thought that) the ball wouldn't be coming to our side of the court. I was standing at the goal, watching the game, when I relised something: this kid is horrible at soccer (well it's sort of like soccer, but you can pick the ball up at some points, under certian rules, but I'll shut up about that now) and dropped and fumbled the ball way more than me... I then relized something much more important than that: the ball was heading straight for me... so, I figured I'd show him that I AM good at this stupid game... I tried the block the goal, It went straight into my face, and to avoid more embaressment (and severe pain) I ducked, and put my hand out to stop the ball. The ball bent my hand back and went into the goal anyway. So now I have:
1) a damaged ego
2) a very painfull throbbing in my hand
and
3) every single person on my team glareing at me.
as this dude starts to walk away he says "will someone please just be goalie? she's horrible!" in a very, very loud voice. I'm lucky that no-one else noticed the goalie flying the bird at her team.
The next game, he was goalie. his protest? "It's not fair for me to be goalie the whole game"
And what was I, then?
There's a bit more, but I just relized how long of a post this is, and how childess I sound, so that's all for now.

IATB, I love this thread too, now that I've relized how truly wonderful it is to rant!

I have a rant that no-one has to read.

A friend of mine is an avid writer. So am I. We both have different and distinct styles, and I enjoy reading her work. A while ago she wrote a story about LSD use in teens that I thought was fantastic. At the time I was working on a novel for NaNoWriMo, and I had already decided I wanted one of the characters to do have a bad experience with drugs. She was going to have a terrifying hallucination, and after a bit of research I decided acid would be a good drug for her to take. My friends' story was set in a garage, on an old couch. I set my scene in a basement, that has a couch in it. I thought they were completely different, but apparently she took offense and attacked me, saying I stole her idea. I apologized and said it must have been by mistake (it was).

A few months later, she showed me her journal for English (we're required to write them and it's a pain in the ass) in which she'd written this totally implausible story in a jerky, strange style. I liked it. About a month after, I wrote a story for my journal that had entirely different things happen, but was written in a similarly jerky style. She went ballistic and told me I was always copying her work. She stopped letting me read her journal but continued to read mine. She never emails me her stories anymore and has complained to our mutual friends about it, one of whom stopped me when I went to do the same and said "I've already heard both sides." "How?" I asked, since I hadn't talked to her about it yet. After some bad lying about how I had called her and toldher about it (I hadn't), she said that the girl who accused me had explained how she thought I must have done it (admiring a work so much I had to duplicate it).

It stung, and I have no-one to talk to about it, since apparently she told them not to tell me how she's complained to them about how I plagiarize everything.

I was on the computer earlier this morning, and I hadn't been on for long (thirty minutes at the most) and my dad gets up, and just yanks the computer wire out, without saying a word.

I still have no Idea what I did wrong.
(by the way, I stared at the computer wires forever, and finally figured out which one was loose, just in time for CheeseMoose and IATB's e-wedding)

Well, I missed the E-wedding of Cheesemoose and IATB, despite sneaking online when I shouldn't have been... (I was an hour late...), I made an appointment to see a doctor, and slept through it (Been sleeping a lot, lately), and, tonight, I missed PrgmDave and Monkey called Narth's E-wedding by three hours! and I was so looking forward to it, last week! Come this week, and I spazz out on the date. To make it worse, any other night, I would have been an hour late, at most... Tonight, I was doing something, and lost track of the time... I am seriously feeling bad, now, like worthless... To top it all off, I've been feeling down, for much of the last week, and I was looking forward to trolling the Matazone, after the E-wedding. but now, I only feel like crying myself to sleep... and maybe never waking up again...

I'll survive. I always do. but, like always, I'll do it feeling like sh*t...

'Night, all.

Today my mom made me a grilled cheese sandwitch, and when I was on my to sit down to eat, my dad told me to go get him a pillow. (He was about to take a nap...) So I set the sandwitch down on the table, and went to get the pillow. When I came back, my dad was finishing off the last bit of my sandwitch. When I asked him if He knew that it was mine, he said yes. When I asked him why he ate it, he said it was beacause I had set it down, and I wasn't eating it, and had left it right there...so what was he supposed to do?

Reading back over that, I just relized how funny it kinda is...

Wanted to make plans with a friend who I hadn't seen all of Spring break. I tried twice, on two different days to make plans with him. I was suppossed to go out to dinner with him on Thursday, and he was suppossed to call and let me know if he could, but he never did.

I can't stand that, because I would at least have the decency to call the person to tell them they couldn't make it!

Ah.....I feel better now happy.gif

Having finally forgiven myself for standing up two e-weddings in a row (And being told not to worry about it, by those concerned), I came on tonight, to have a little fun.

*Sigh* I should know better, by now, I really should...

There was a PM from little bear, saying he was going to quit the forums, and I had 'Won'. How he got the idea that I hated him and was trying to bait him, I'll never know. For the record, I hate no one on this board... I like some of you better than others, and a couple of you Have occasionally scared the pants off me, But I like you all, and don't want to offend anyone. At the same time, I want to have fun. That's why I'm here. Presumably, that's why we're all here.

I admit to baiting Dancing Hamster Guy, but actually wrote him in advance, outlineing what I wanted to do... He said, "go for it." So i have, and I think he's had as much fun with it, as I have... 'Least I hope so. If he ever asks me to quit teasing him, I will. Gladly.

But, little bear, if you're reading this, I'm sorry. I never intended to cause you any angst, no matter what you might think. I do like you, I just wish you could like me... Or at least live with having me in the same Forum.

Thanks, everyone, for listening to my rant... If you want to discuss anything I'm doing, please PM me, and we'll hash it out... I hate hostility and conflict... I go out of my way to get along, because arguing makes me almost physically ill... although I am human, and do occassionally hit back, I always regret it, after I've calmed down...

*Sigh* On with the show...

Why is it, that even when I'm reading something serious, I always seem to come up with some Strange, out-of-place, thought? Well, anyway: When I read that, I thought "so that's why Quoth doesn't post in the "today I'm wearing" thread!"
unsure.gif Sorry 'bout that guys, just posting my random thoughts again.

Little bear, Quoth, and anyone else who's upset right now, I don't believe anyone set out to hurt, or upset anyone, and I hope you two can sort this out.

Trunksgirl, I've had several people make plans with me for spring break, and then never call me saying that they had to cancel, so I've been sitting at home all spring break. The good part about them canceling on you? You get to spend extra time with the super-nifty people at matazone!

I can't stand that, because I would at least have the decency to call the person to tell them they couldn't make it!

Ah.....I feel better now happy.gif

Yeppers!

I've already managed to come up with another rant.
My cat keeps climbing on my shoulder, then kneading my shoulder. What my cat doesn't realize, however, is that she has very, very sharp claws, and is tearing my shoulder up...

Yeah, so now my shoulder's bleeding...ow....

Her dignity shone so bright like a light on a hill
and she burned for me, no other man came near her flame.
Bad country songs - the deafening twang of the rich white kid blues.
You can own the strange, but the lights and glares will not make you real.
