Well, she finally commited... and so to not interfere with the other e-marriages taking place, here's my wedding thread!
the proposal: ravein:soooo I was thinking... all this.. talk of e-marriage... well I have never gotten e-married before.. I have divorced a few.. married one or two... but never actually got e-married myself... so I was thinking.. um... karismaklysm... if you not busy... ya wanna?? *plus we can really consecrate the marriage!!!* karismaklysm:*melts at the feet of her love* why miss, im just flabbergasted... sure! why not! so here we go... she suggested that the ceremony take place Wednesday the 14th @ 4pm EST. (its all so sudden!) *g* we need an officiator... just someone to say "you're married" as it will be a traditional quaker e-wedding (info to follow)... preferably missy... or lolo... so, COME ONE! COME ALL! and wear/eat/drink/bring whatever/whoever you want! -------------------- We will start with the firemen, and then the math teachers, and so on in that fashion...

QUAKER WEDDING BASICS-in case you care:
(with inserted "blahs" where the wholy unimportant parts were) The Quaker wedding may be listed as one of the peculiarities of a peculiar people, but it takes on a beautiful significance as well as a solemn and spiritual aspect. While the Friends minister may have received legal permission from the court to pronounce a couple man and wife, such a proceeding is entirely superfluous and now legally unnecessary in a wedding ceremony undertaken according to the long-established custom of Friends. As a matter of fact, in this Quaker service the women concerned speak their own vows and give their own promises of love, loyalty and devotion, each to the other in a meeting for worship. (blah blah blah...) (During unprogrammed worship, Friends sit in silence and, if moved by divine guidance and inspiration, speak to those assembled. This is called “vocal ministry,” and everyone present--Quaker and non-Quaker--is welcome to participate.) the young couple, who have taken seats on the front row of benches, rise and, taking each other by the right hand, pledge their love and loyalty to each other in the presence of the higher power and before the members of the meeting. When the vows have been taken and the worship is over the committee escorts the newly married couple to a table where they sign the wedding certificate. Afterward as witnesses of this marriage ceremony, most of those present sign the certificate. sooooooo yeah...... the basic idea.... is the same as any other e-wedding... more along the lines of the e-wedding of old... lo or missy say a few words... we both agree not to have e-sex with anyone else... and all that other love type stuff... then we open a party thread, we all get e-drunk till early morn... the bride sleeps with missy in the hot tub... we all have hang overs and refuse to cut on the lights, while leo tries to figure out how that pickle got all the way up in there : )

thats okay leo.. it is going to have to be pushed out until Thursday anyway, My boss is going to be in the office today. I cant really have the e-wedding I want with him hovering over my shoulder while I alt-tab to a two inch window
