I'm a tea man, but yeah coffee ... Thats coffee mind, not murky water. The machine that makes it has to look, sound and weigh like a medium-sized locomotive. REAL COFFEE, not percolated or filtered or instant or any of that sad stuff. As a general thing brits and yanks do not knw what coffee is. There. I said it.

I hate coffee. It's disgusting in any way, shape, or form. Doesn't matter to me how it was brewed or what it has in it...it's still gross. Even the smell of coffee can make me want to throw up.
I like tea. Or hot chocolate. But generally only hot tea, I'm not fond of many iced teas. And hot chocolate I can only drink in winter after I've been playing in the snow, otherwise it's just not right. -------------------- I love you in a way that is mystical and eternal and illegal in 20 states.

They've got me.
I am now officially a corporate whore. That'll learn me for living in Seattle, 2 blocks from the first Starbucks ever, won't it? I can't walk past a Starbucks now without getting a hankering for a Mocha. It doesn't even help when the weather's hot, 'cos the canny Washingtonian barstewards have made a tasty cold Frappucino as well. Damn them to heck! Still can't beat a cuppa cha though. -------------------- Nearly two years in - about time for a new AV

Just because I feel like ruining your day http://randomaxe.keenspace.com/comics/ra20030827a.gif I love real coffee. Has to be black and very, very strong though. And it can't have white sugar, has to be brown. Although nothing beats a well made earl grey. I have rituals for many drinks and snacks and won't drink/eat it if someone else makes it because so few people have any idea how to make them properly. |

The Man Named Jon is a person of discriminating taste. Mocha is the best, and Starbucks make the best mocha. Especially with the whipped cream on top. Oh yes.
I made an unfortunate discovery about two days ago (could have been yesterday or three days, my memory of this event is hazy): I cannot hold my coffee. For some highly unwise reason I drank four cups of coffee in relatively quick succession. Cue intestinal cramps. Cue vomiting. Cue me spasming uncontrollably on the floor for a really quite disturbingly long time. Cue unconsciousness. Is this normal? -------------------- Every sort of expert knowledge and every inquiry, and similarly every action and undertaking, seems to seek some good. Mmmmm, coffee. I absolutely love the smell, but I can't stand to drink the stuff - way too bitter.
Tea is good, except those disgusting fruity herbal teas. *Feigns vomiting*. Is there anyone else out there who doesn't like fizzy drinks? I feel like such a leper when I say that I don't drink Coke or Fanta or whatever (curse their expert marketing techniques!). On Starbucks, I have to say a firm "gaaah!!!!". Have you heard about their vicious techniques? They open up three or four shops in one area, all really close together. This forces (along with, no doubt, various disgraceful other methods) all other coffee houses out of business in the area. Then they shut down all but one or two of their shops, and move on to another area, having successfully monopolized the market. Can you say "illegal"? |
