Gah...I thought I had all As and A*s for my GCSEs, then I realised I'd misread the stupid confusing exam slip from the evil bastard AQA. A B! A B in English Literature! Oh, the shame. Oh, the shame of it all. A single letter marring perfection. Weep for me.
On a lighter note, my girlfriend got all A*s for everything. -------------------- Every sort of expert knowledge and every inquiry, and similarly every action and undertaking, seems to seek some good. Because of that, people are right to affirm that the good is 'that which all things seek'...

It's bad thing when put next to a bunch of As. Like a daisy isn't a bad thing, but you shouldn't put it next to your prize red long-stemmed roses now should you?

I feel now would be a great time to qoute Shakespear's 'Romeo and Juliet' when she is standing on the balcony talking about names...and roses. But I can't remember the lines.
Damn. It would have been so fitting right about now. -------------------- Go Go Gadget WeeJ!

Well, at least As and a B is better than no gcses at all which is what I have because I couldn't concentrate in exams, or coursework, or any work...

Perhaps my perspective is skewed by going to SUPER RICH SCHOOL. Which was full of rich white kids who were all upper-class and up themselves.
I am, however, returning to the real world, and enrolling in a state 6th form college tomorrow. Five A-levels...I must be mad... -------------------- Every sort of expert knowledge and every inquiry, and similarly every action and undertaking, seems to seek some good. I know Bs are fine, that's not the point. The point was that I was this close to a perfect spread of As, and that one damn B messed it up for me.

Bs aint a bad thing. In fact round these here parts its pretty damn good, in my year of 210 only 8 people got straight a/a*s and my school is one of the best in the region. (Its also the poorest funded high school in the whole UK incedently, bastards)
My parents dont give a shit about my education, which makes it easier because everything is for me. I push myself because I want a nice bi paycheck at the end of it. I know what you mean about AQA results slips, last year I thought I had an A in geo and it was a B. Managed to pull it up though and thats all that matters. Anyways a B buggering up your As is nothing. I managed to get 100% and an a in one A2 subject.....just to fuck it up major time with a U pulling my average to a B, bad Kimmii. -------------------- |

gah...are GCSE A's like standard grades 1's?
cause i got all 1's last year in my standard grades...only three other people in my year of 170 got straight ones which is actually a good year for my school this year i got three a's and two b's in my highers but they were band one a's and band three b's stop mocking me! -------------------- Little solace comes to those who grieve

At GCSE I got 6As and 4A*s. AS I got AABBB and A2 I got AABB (more than enough to get me into uni).
I know its harsh and stuff but really all these ae are stepping stones, as long as yuo get enough to be able to do whatever next thats all that matters. GCSEs are life and death but when yuo get to AS that means more ect. I know people who did poor at GCSE to then did freakily well at AS/A2. I guess the same will probably happen at uni. -------------------- |
