Thorn: My job kind of sucks.
Rose: I don't actually need a job. Thorn: If I get a different job, it'd be an almost guaranteed pay cut. Rose: Amtgard tomorrow! Rose: Z will be visiting. Rose: Will finally have a Windows install disc so I can run Bootcamp and play LoL. Thorn: I'm hungry and I don't really want to eat anything we have. Rose/Thorn: It's a really warm summer. Yay not being cold, but boo sweating when outside. -------------------- Every atom in your body came from a star that exploded. And, the atoms in your left hand probably came from a different star than your right hand. It really is the most poetic thing I know about physics: You are all stardust. You couldn’t be here if stars hadn’t exploded, because the elements - the carbon, nitrogen, oxygen, iron, all the things that matter for evolution and for life - weren’t created at the beginning of time. They were created in the nuclear furnaces of stars, and the only way for them to get into your body is if those stars were kind enough to explode. So, forget God. Rose: Today has been fantastic. ;D
Rose: Ignored my alarm multiple times because I enjoy sleeping, without consequences. Rose: Got to my sociology class twenty minutes late (because I was running ten minutes late, which meant no more parking spots), sat down, looked all studious, and the prof was like "Don't worry Izzy, I put you down for attendance". Rose: Talked to my literature prof about the paper I failed (due mostly to not using the proper MLA formatting), and he's letting me resubmit it, gave me pointers on the five points I missed for content, AND is taking away the penalty for my paper being late. Rose: Tomorrow is payday! Rose: Which means I'll have made it to pay day without having to fill up again on gas. Wanted to see if I could do that, not because money is tight, but just to get a proper estimate on expenses. Rose: Enjoying McDonalds while watching American Dad before work, because AMURICA, YEAH. -------------------- Every atom in your body came from a star that exploded. Thorn: You guys let this thread die.
 Rose: Recently was offered and accepted a Man-at-Arms belt by a very cool person in Amtgard. Yay for no longer being a page! Rose: Was actually feeling pretty awesome today, so actually worked today (as opposed to Facebooked), and did so an hour longer than scheduled. Rose/Thorn: Pretty much only because my friend gave me some Adderall a while ago, and I finally decided to eat it. That stuff's so good. It actually makes me not hate my job. Thorn: I'll hate my job again tomorrow. Rose: At least I have a job. A lot of my actual adult (I'm not actually an adult) friends are struggling to find them or have recently been laid off. Or have crappy fast food jobs, ew. Rose: And I get to work naked. Thorn: Didn't have time to go to the gym today. Rose: Oh, got my scheduled changed to part time. ... thorn: major panic attack yesterday. 2+ hours.
rose: wine and medication and talk therapy with my favorite aunt. 4+ hours. rose: slept in for a long time today. <3 rose: coping alright with life. rose: starting school monday  still trying to find cute uniform pants.thorn: have to return uniform pants i thought would be cute, but sadly, are not. rose: ordered a 2nd e-cigarette brand starter kit in addition to blu. they have chocolate and mint tea flavors, yummm. i like my e-cigs to basically be hookah. rose: this paycheck is going to be f*cking enormous. thorn: because of said panic attack, didn't manage to get inventory done yesterday. got three f*cking walk-ins and they booked me for all three, thus making it so i couldn't have a break or grab anything to eat between clients and inventory anyway. if i had stayed, i'd have only had time to do inventory and then more clients. it was basically payroll, a trade with another therapist, walk in, walk in, walk in, hour for inventory, client. instead it went payroll, half a trade, panic attack, walk in, walk in, i need to leave. i've never left work because of an emotional state, but this was too much. i don't want to look like a 'flake' when i haven't messed any of my managerial work up except needing to do inventory every other day instead of twice a week. i was told 'every few days', but apparently 'every other day' is what this means. i'm also dropping down to three days a week and will therefore be doing it every day, but the asm will do it on other days. i assume i'll be doing the order, in that case? because if not, i can't see how they'd justify making the promotion 'official'. urgh. thorn: boys are forking confusing. rose: piercings healing well, a little painful. wish my navel would heal a little faster. they have a high-ish rejection rate, so i worry. -------------------- i'm like oh kimosabe, your body is my hobby    the official 'you bitch' count: a whole lot last updated 11/05 |
