I just heard that Moore's new film, Ferienhiet 9/11, will not be distributed by Mirimax, a company owned by Disney. Moore calls it censorship. I think the company that distributed The Passion also rejected it.
Any thoughts?

Fahrenheit 9/11? What's the plot? What's involved? What rating would it get? I don't think it's censorship if someone doesn't want to distribute it. No one is actually changing it or covering it up. If no one wants to show your movie, they can reject it and it's not censorship. Censorship does not mean everyone gets everything they want displayed to the world displayed to the world. In a case like this, if they refuse to distribute it, they're just not doing anything to help it. What are they doing to hurt it? Other than reducing its sales. But that's like a magazine refusing to sponsor an ad. Its sale will probably drop, but the magazine didn't do anything to hurt it otherwise.

I don't call it censorship either. but the arguement is that a corporation is monopolizing on the industry, which is false.

I don't follow that train of thought at all...I don't see any monopolizing going on in any way that has to do with this... blink.gif
