...whip out the dart guns. Even the airforce joined in. The fighter jets closed in on the giant piece of flesh, and then something unsightly happened:

After that moment, the two people noticed something odd about the apple. It grew a pair of metal legs and sprouted a penis. Exactly ten seconds later, the two bystanders suddenly...

I did this a little while ago, and since it's the first halfway decent thing I've colored in photoshop, I'm kinda proud. smile.gif

And, in relation to comic strips and whatnot, I officially declared my major today! I am now a Sequential Art major with a double minor in Animation and Storyboarding! Yay comix and toons! laugh.gif

TMI.. right, er, I've been doing a lot of pooping lately and before flushing stare at it to see if it resembles anything. Most of them look like C's.

I swear mine looked kind of like a turtle the other day. With a bumpy shell and everything. If I had my sketchbook nearby I would have drawn it.

QUOTE (Mata @ Oct 13 2006, 04:42 AM) *
DOH: You can do a degree in Sequential Art? I'm guessing that more than simply drawing comics... Story-boarding for films, perhaps?

Yuppers! Sequential Art encompasses comics/graphic novels (and within that: comic book scripting, penciling, inking,) storyboarding, character design, and I'm sure a lot more. I can't wait to start the courses for my major. laugh.gif

I'm at Savannah College of Art and Design and my intended major is Sequential Art and intended minor is Animation. Right now I'm in foundation studies and I won't get to do anything with my major til next year, but that's okay cause foundation stuff is important. happy.gif
As for how I'm doing, I think I am doing pretty well. I love it here. I'm helping with the organization of a game at my residence hall (there are five of us planning this event...and about 800 residents). It's Capture the Flag, Dorm Style. It has a rather lengthy explanation and if anyone really, really wants to know they can pm me cause I don't want to spam up this thread. I get along with my room mates, well it's just one room mate now the other moved out into a house with a friend. But my current room mate and I share the same birthday and our names rhyme. laugh.gif
There's a lot of work, too. I am finding myself getting only about 4 to 5 hours of sleep at the most every night. But we get three day weekends, so that gives me lots of time to get homework done (and sleep, oh blessed sleep) I guess that's it for me. smile.gif

I've wanted to make a new AIM sn for a while now, so I made these three but I'm not sure which one I should use!

So, I figured making a poll and getting lots of opinions as to which one is the least crappy would be helpful.

Also, to keep this from being a too-spammy post, what was your first screen name? Or crappiest screen name? (that you remember tongue.gif )

I think mine was maelynn14 *shudder*

Thank you, guys! laugh.gif

My passions would be art, writing, music, and nature.

I love to draw, I love looking at art and I love critiquing it. I love writing, arranging words in such a way to portray emotions and ideas. I love music, I CANNOT live without music. And nature - I love being outside, and I love trees and I get so much inspiration from nature.

Teleclick Lenses! With the teleclick lenses, laser mouses (mice?) become an inconvience, and don't work nearly as fast! You can summon a webpage with a thought, and only _you_ can see it, because it is all located on little contact lenses on your eyes! Wow!

how will we ever counter teleclick lens addiction?

I am leaving for my freshman year of college, and am rather a tad socially inept. I was wondering if anyone had any tips on what to do when I get there, what to do about talking to people without worrying/feeling like I am an idiot. Any and all advice would be greatly appreciated! ph34r.gif

Yup all hackers I know wear pacifiers around their necks and carry glowsticks. And wear day-glo colored clothes and have hair to match. Yup.

I got a laugh out of that article. I seriously hope that guy was kidding. laugh.gif

Everything during the school year was going downhill like hell. My grades were suffering, I only filled out applications to colleges that were close to home and didn't even have what I wanted. I was depressed. And then, one day, something snapped in me (this was the end of April) and I decided I really wanted to study Sequential Art (which is what I have always wanted to study but never thought I would get to, because of my grades -- they were very bad, near failing). I pulled myself together and brought my grades up, and finished my application to Savannah College of Art and Design in Georgia.

A few weeks after I graduated, I called my high school counselor to find out if he had sent my second letter of recommendation. I could not get a hold of him, and Savannah had said they hadn't gotten it yet. So, I called again the next day, to find out he was gone on vacation and the secretary said she didn't know if he had sent the letter yet.

This past week I went on vacation, deciding I would, when I returned, visit the school everyday until I could get in touch with my counselor and see if he sent the letter.

I got home today, and checked the mailbox, and in it was a bulky package from Savannah.

I opened it, and I screamed after reading the first few sentences.

I have been accepted to Savannah College of Art and Design to study Sequential Art, which for those of you who don't know is basically studying Cartooning/Comic book creation.

I just had to share this with everyone - I am so excited! laugh.gif

And I wasn't sure where to put the thread, whether or not it should go here or Personal Concerns. (If I put it in the wrong forum, I'm sorry! Move it if you need to!)

Thank you for taking time to read this I appreciate it! biggrin.gif

Well, since, um, the only rpg game I play is RO I would have to say I would prefer being...a knight. High hp and agi (cause I like hybrids). Plus, I really like that fin helm and that peco peco bird. *nods to self*
