I was listening to Air's 10,000Hz Legend album, but the style of the spoken word over the music sounded too much like KOMPRESSOR so I figured I might as well listen to the real thing.

KOMPRESSOR ADDING UP NUMBERS!

The Pixies, wondering why no one has told me about this band before.

They were created in the nuclear furnaces of stars, and the only way for them to get into your body is if those stars were kind enough to explode. So, forget God. My entire music selection. Shuffled. In the dark. Whilst sleeping? It decided to turn itself off.. This is when I just defer you guys to Last.fm.

I did intend to, Izzy, but I thought that someone else might do it instead and that if you got too many people telling you of the wonderous amazingness of Black Francis' group and all that it entails, you'd think we were some sort of oddball cult and go and leave. Or something.

But you've discovered them now, so that's all right.

..Def Leppard... because I don't read and now accidentally own one of their shirts. I swear to Thor it said Led Zeppelin when I bought it. ..But it doesn't. So whether or not I wear it depends on if I find this band okay. =/

Too much Facebooking left me looking for the 'like' function on the bottom of your post. Awesome album. Great cover, too.

I've been dropping my tracklist for my monster-themed compilation into my ears. I made it for the 'Less Facebook More Mixtapes' group on FB (monthly themed mixswaps FTMFW), and it turned into a bit of a double album concept - one disc for zombies and one for vampires. Veers sharply from indiepop to techno to alt-folk to thrash metal. Awesomes.

You know the game they're playing? It's called Downfall and I HAVE IT. Yeah. Get me... I recognised the game before the artist >_>

I've been repeatedly playing through a couple of CDs of Marvin Gaye, plenty of Tears for Fears, and relistening to some Editors.

Hobbes, swap out the Marvin Gaye for Al Green and that is precisely the combination I was hollering on my bi-cycle yesterday. How odd!

Currently listening to Owen Pallet ('This is the Dream of Win and Regine') and the Tallest Man on Earth and other things that make me all teary and insomnia-ridden. Trouble is (TROUBLE IS) I want a sandwich, and this is not sandwich music. Any help?

Xploding Plastix, all day all the time. Seems like some electronically-minded forumites might know them--anybody else a fan?

Never heard of them... but I just listened to a few clips on YouTube, and I think I'll have to explore a little more when I get home, since it sounds pretty awesome.

-

I've mostly been listening to a French guy, Calogero, and his song: "La fin de la fin du monde". I'd never heard of him before, and then I was flicking through international radio stations on iTunes, and heard this song. I wrote down the details, then forgot about it until I was looking for some music to buy. So I now have his latest album, and - even though I understand only some of the lyrics through my GCSE-level French - it is rather good smile.gif Turns out he's one of the biggest selling artists in France.

The above song (the one I heard originally), is my favourite off the album:

Having very little music on this laptop my choice is a litle limited. But for the time being I'm super content listening to Habanot Nechama over and over again. smile.gif

Gush. Gush.

Actually, Comatose Luck prompted me to find and download The Petrified Forest starting Bette Davis, Humphrey Bogart and Leslie Howard. (I can gush about that film, too, if you like.)

Gush.

I have bought a bunch of CDs recently, but haven't really allowed myself some time to listen to them.

Pretty much just Sarah McLachlan's album, Laws of Illusion.

Because the van at work has a CD player in it, and I was on delivery-duties today, I was able to listen to the following albums whilst spinning my tyres on snow and ice:

Midwinter Graces - Tori Amos
The Temper Trap - Conditions
Happiness - Hurts
L'Embellie - Calogero
Wintersong - Sarah McLachlan

Very pleasant smile.gif
