I don't classify myself in any of those groups (well, any group at all, really). Also, several of the choices aren't really relevant to where I live (as in...not the UK).
Might've been a thought to break down the ages into more groups as well. There are quite a few people over the age of 21 (I'm 24), but not very many 11-13 year olds. At any rate, you started the poll to find out what people are like outside the forums. Errr, let's see. I think I'm basically a much more shy version of my forum self, so maybe that will answer your question... Also: Wow! I didn't know you could do multiple polls in one post now! -------------------- I love you in a way that is mystical and eternal and illegal in 20 states.

Interesting that you put chav, townie and scally, aren't they all the same thing?
I'd been thinking about this recently. I barely qualify as alternative really, just special. *nod* -------------------- He's a freak of nature, but we love him so.

QUOTE Interesting that you put chav, townie and scally, aren't they all the same thing? I think "townie" refers to the "pretty and popular" demographic rather than the chavs. The fashion victims who always look perfect and spend a lot of time gossiping and playing sport. The UK version of jocks, I guess. And is it possible to actually be a cyberpunk? I was under the impression that was a genre rather than a clique. I voted mixture, and I'm 18. To be honest, I think this sort of thing is important (and probably rightly so) when you're just coming through the start of your teenage years whilst you're going through phases of finding out who you really think you are and want to be. It's nice to have a group to be with, so you're not the only person who thinks something is cool/interesting whilst you're going through that phase. Eventually, people become more comfortable with themselves and do become more mixed in terms of aspects of their personality. You reach the point where you think "What the hell do I care if you say I'm not a proper goth/punk/townie/whatever? I'm enjoying my life living this way and thats what matters." Incidentally, I'm probably more geek than anything else, also -------------------- Once opened consume within three days. Above post is not suitable for home freezing. Store in a cool, dry area. |

I voted other, as whenever anyone asks me I tend to say 'metalhead'.
To me this sort of thing doesn't really matter, as the people I know are sorted into chavs, sporty types and rockers, and although most of my friends are in the 'rockers' catagory (which encompasses every genre of music except for rap/hip-hop, including classical and techno), I can quite happily hang aroudn with the sporty types, or even with most of the chavs, (although some of them are just b*stards). PS. I'm 16, although I've just realised I picked 15 in the poll. -------------------- QUOTE (Peter Griffin) Math, my dear boy, is nothing more than the lesbian sister of biology. |

I am other. I am me (or the Lorax, I get mixed up sometimes- either way we speak for trees). I'm not sure I really fit into a catagory- if it is on clothes then it changes day by day (yesterday I was wearing ripped jeans a band t-shirt and some large black boots, today it is a paisley skirt and a pink shirt, with velvet shoes). If it is by lifestyle then I would probably say Rocker as I love music, go to alot of gigs and am down with the home boyz in the scene. If we take mentality towards life and others, then I may have to say hippy- but I don't do drugs and am too consumerist.
As I said, I don't think I fit and never have done. I don't think anyone really fits. -------------------- We are unraveling our navels so that we may ingest the sun. DARIA IZ GOOD ON TOAST TOAST IZ GOOD ON DARIA |

I would consider myself a mixture. I mean, my group of friends are all such a bunch of complete oddballs, it's great! I guess I'm fairly geeky, slightly rocker-ish too. Judging by clothes, I really have no idea. Some days I'm going with baggy trousers, a long sleeved top and a baggy t shirt and others I'm wearing poofy skirts and brightly coloured tights. Judging by music then again it's a mixture - I love classical, rock, some metal, some techno, experimental and my fair share of cheesy pop (Build Me Up Buttercup is a kickass song, alright?).
I'm 14 by the way. -------------------- Emma <3 James <3

I really don't fit into any category on the poll, as I tend to classify myself as something along the lines of a geek/nerd because I don't really know the difference between them.
