I've had 3 light bulbs break two of which burst and sprayed glass in all directions today, What would cause this given that they were in 3 different rooms between 10am and 5:30pm and we don't have anything new plugged in?

Wow that's really weird, not being an electrician or even learnered in such matters I have no idea what it could be.
Hey maybe the weird presence that hangs around my place went down for a visit. |

Maybe you unluckily got three from a batch of faulty bulbs?

Power surge it sounds like.. could be a faulty fuse box on the lighting curcuit too if it's letting power surges through and blowing the bulbs.

Actually I've had some strange things happen to appliances in my house. We've gone through 2 TV's and a computer monitor in the last 12 months. They just keep blowing up! Well not quite so dramatic but when the computer monitor went that was a little jumpy. It kept getting these white flashes with this really angry sound... I don't know what caused all that but perhaps it's a similar occurance.

It couldn't be dodgy light bulbs as one was long life one was here when we got here and the other was a few weeks old.
And power surges don't make sence as they blew up hours apart and before when we've had surges break bulbs it all happened at once and killed every bulb the fridge and the TV.

If your really unlucky, it could be a poltergeist. I hear they are pretty bad. But given that i dont believe they exist, it could just be some strange creepy coincidence.
