Children, that's a big step, I hope to find her and and have enough foresight to understand that we won't know everything there is to parenting, that we won't be perfect, that we will suffer at times and that we will at the end raise a human being that will contribute something to his community. And be happy with the outcome.

I put no they're evil, but I just have to say that I love kids I think they're great and a lot more intelligent often times than adults.

However, since that was the only no option on there I went ahead and chose it because I don't want to have kids.

I think this may be more of an issues thing so I think that I will move it after this post.

Explanation:

I love my nephew and I spoil him more than anyone else in my life. I also love some of my friends kids like they were my own family.

My problem lies more in a selfishness factor. I don't want to have to change poopy diapers. I don't want to have to deal with tantrums when they don't get the icecream that they want before dinner. I also don't want to deal with the time it takes out of MY life to raise a child. I need to get my life on track which is what I'm working on now. Once I have a career then I want to focus on that. I know people may say raising kids can be a rewarding experience but I perfer on this matter to be selfish.

Also I don't want to take the chance of skrewing up a possibly great individual by my baggage carrying on to them from what I've experienced growing up.

At this rate I won't be alive in fifteen years... That's completely A OK with me. So I guess no, I won't be having children, but not because I don't like them.

Eventually I'd love to have kids.. but working in the nursery is more than enough birth control for now. There's something about 10 screaming babies needing to be fed, diapered, etc at the same time..

That sounds like my thoughts too. I'm barely responsible for my own life, let alone that of a baby.
I know I'm with the right person...its just not the right time.

Plus...at this present moment..neither of us are that fond of kids (other than my niece wub.gif )

i dont know...maybe...if i was able to financially and emotionally and stuff...if it was with the right person and i had a girl who was exactly like my lil cousin wub.gif who is the cutest thing ever and should just be bottled and sold to miserly people to make them happy

she lets me stand on her by mistake and she comes to find me and show me things that shes killed (flowers, bugs etc thats all i swear) and she moshes! i took her to a band night at my school all babygothed up with wings on and stuff and she got into the moshingness of it all and nearly died...i love her soooo much

yes thats right

i am obsessed with children

but they are cute and smart and cute

so leave me alone!

yeah...probably....i dont know though...

i get farzaneh to come stay with us sometimes and i look after her and make her milk (shes three but lactose intolerant) and bathe her and feed her and take her out with me to see my friends and stuff.

my mum doesnt mind her staying but i take care of her when she stays and i can honestly say ive never been desperate to hand her back over or anything.

i just like kids, it doesnt bother me taking her out when my friends are there but thats probably cause she likes rock music and stuff tongue.gif

The difference between other people's kids and your own is that other people's kids arn't completely comfortable around you, so they're on their best behavior. Your own, well, they know your limits and stuff so they just try to get away with everything. I've looked after my brothers kid a couple of times and she's been an angel. She's been the same around her parents as well. Maybe she's an alien and not actually a child at all unsure.gif

Not right no, jeez.

But at some point in the mediumly-distant future, sure thing. Having seen my brother with his son, the pros sure do outweigh the cons.

Since I made this poll I better post what my thoughts on it are...

I have to go with maybe, first of all, not right now or anytime in the near future maybe in like 10-15 years when I have a steady income and all that good stuff. Secondly, I'd have to find someone that I really loved that I could live with for ever. I don't want my kids to grow up like I did with two divorced fighting parents. and thirdly, I'm really not very good with kids, they annoy me most of the time. That may just be because of how old I am and whatnot but at the moment I can't stand them really.yeah those are my reasons.

I have thought about children before both in the adopting area and also in having them normal area. Of course I'll wait until I am older duhh lol. I know my sister decided not to have kids after she worked in the day care centre in high school where a lot of high school girls dropped off their kids *rolls eyes* so ya I'm not being an aunt. As for motherhood, I am considering it of course when I'm older. No use rushing things, gotta get my future figured out first one day at a time before that decision comes into play.

That isn't always the case.

My cousin's little girl (age 4) is completely comfortable around anyone. And she is a spoiled little brat. She throws tantrums constantly, and doesn't get in the slightest bit of trouble for it. It is so embarrassing to go out with them, cause they let her get into anything.

However, I do want kids. Just one or two. I'd prefer girls cause I know nothing about raising boys...I was brought up in a house of three girls. I think I'll do okay with kids, cause the cousin's little girl loves me, but she also knows to listen when I tell her to do something or I'll actually punish her (unlike her mother and grandmother dry.gif ).

I've been around relatives' kids my whole life, cause someone is always having another baby in my family (I have a HUGE family on both sides. My mom has 7 brothers and sisters and my dad has 10. My husband also has 10 brothers and sisters...oy). I can be playful and I adore being around kids, but I'm not afraid to punish them and not spoil them either..and while they do get on my nerves sometimes, I can handle it...so yeah, I think I'll do okay. (And no, I didn't just give the kids back to their parents when they got on my nerves. Isn't really an option when the kid is staying with you for a month. But, I lived...and had more fun than headaches).

While I am married and grown up and all that stuff, I don't want kids for at least another 8 years or so, possibly more. I don't just want to finish school and get my life in order, I also want some time in my marriage when it's just the two of us. I don't think anyone gets married should try to have kids for at least four years....you need some time together alone first.
