Hey all... I'm here for a wee pat on the shoulder - I wouldn't ask for hugs (I'm probably contagious) - I think I've got the mumps...
 My face and neck are very tender and a wee bitty puffy and I've had an extreme headache for bout four/five days now... Can barely keep anything in my tummy (see 'Purchases' thread - I wasted money on junk food...), have gone deaf and could rival Hell on the old heat factor <sweats>... Have to say though - these symptoms are the least of my problems if I do indeed have el mumpos... Can we say orchitis? It is most unpleasant I'll tell you. Thankfully I'm not quite there yet! Got my dad to check me out - he is a first-aider dude - and his "professional" opinion is: "Back infectious beast, back I say!"  Didn't know how to take that... He is making me go to the doctors which I'm inclined to agree with!I'll keep you posted - got a doctors appointment on Monday! Thankies all!
Still feeling rotten - but at least I managed to get dressed today without falling over! I have, however, went from having a puffy neck to having a lumpy neck. *dramatic music* So I'm now inclined to go with my mumps theory... Snoo - do your white blood cells have a catchy theme tune and their own T.V. mini-series? Do they?  Anyhoo - I'm away back to bed to feel sorry for myself and watch feel-good films!
