And, by that, I don't mean people who like the horizontal tango with multi-coloured blocks. Or people who prefer a very angular version of the Kama Sutra. With lots of friends.
No, not them, the regular, normal sort of person who prays for a long yellow one to give them some of that 4-line lovin' No, hold on, I'm still stuck on the first interpretation. Anyway, enough rubbish - it's clearly past my bedtime. I just wanted to leave you with the amazing, exciting and wonderful news that Tetris is being released for the DS. With 10 player wifi play off one copy of the game. And online play. *drool* -------------------- Nearly two years in - about time for a new AV

QUOTE the game is set to add new play elements using the touch-screen on the DS, and each play mode will use a theme based on a different classic Nintendo franchise, including Mario, Zelda and Metroid You see this? Every time that they've meddled with the basics of Tetris it's only made the game worse. -------------------- Trouble Down Pit: Still updated every Monday and Friday

Admittedly, there wasn't much meddling. I've had Xbox and Gamecube versions, and the biggest fault with them was that they mucked up the 'rotate' and 'drop' buttons, and you couldn't redefine the controls (which in itself made it pretty unplayable as my brain (and Kat's for that matter) is hardwired one way after so many years). Admittedly, there were some novel modes, but as long as there's a classic mode, Bob's your monkey's uncle. -------------------- Nearly two years in - about time for a new AV

Which was my point really. The GB and Speccy versions were both no-frills, when they start thinking 'how about we make it so that people can control things with their nose: that would be fun!' it all goes wrong. Not that I've ever really been very fussed about Tetris anyway, but Sues' mum loves it so she'll be happy.

You're telling me that a Tetris you could control with your nose would be anything less than life-changing? You'd be a fool to suggest that, a fool I tells ya. -------------------- Nearly two years in - about time for a new AV

I had the cheap Microsoft version called Emlith for so long that I can't adjust to the reglar controls. I keep spinning when I want to drop and dropping when I want to spin.
I wouldn't particularly want to play Tetris with my nose. -------------------- |

Pressing the buttons with your nose? Or some sort of elaborate twitching system.

I dunno, i have been reluctant to buy it because i dont want it to be a let down (in other words it has been meddled with too much).
I still have the old grey game boy cartridge which gives me just as much joy as when i was 4. -------------------- |
