I've been keeping up on this new Season of Doctor Who via the magic of BitTorrent and I must say while the Doctor has a lot of really good moments, there are occasional moments when I see some bits that may seem a bit forced, but that's just my interpretation.

And the more I see her, the more I adore Rose. She's not exactly damsel in distress material, but she does need saving on occasion, though mostly because she's just an ordinary girl in outstanding situations.

I've downloaded the latest episode World War III and I'm going to watch that tonight. Should be fun.

And what *IS* this obsession with Earth? Is it a lack of creativity? Or is there some underlying plot element that has yet to emerge? Guess we'll see.

I wonder when we'll find out more info on this "war" that was mentioned. Should be interesting.

Anyway, I'm ranting. Great show, flawed, but it's fun and frisky, nonetheless. Thumbs up.

And muchos thanks to Vic for bringing me in. Guess I'll be going to get my preorder here sometime in the very near future happy.gif

It's a little off topic, but I'm simply curious.

PsychWard, may I ask your exact reasons for not wanting an Xbox ever? I felt the same way until I got mine and to be honest, I'm extremely happy with my purchase. The absolute ease of online gameplay, a damn nice controller (Version S, naturally...the original controller blows) the Hard Drive for easy game saves and also for Custom Soundtracks (for games that support the feature) plus the most powerful gaming machine in the current console market. What's not to love?

For my knowing that I was attracted almost exclusively to men, there was no real time for knowing....I always knew. The one thing I am really glad I avoided during my adolescence was trying to discover what "being gay" was all about. I see a lot of people from my old school and such who hide what they are. And when they FINALLY decide to release that, they're so caught up trying to "finally" be gay, they , in the end, really do nothing then push that stereotype forward and just continue to cause my discrimination for the rest of us, who are simply, men attracted to other men.

I generally tend to use the term "gay" simply to explain, in the simplest of terms so as not to confuse others, that I am pretty much an all man show. To sit there and say "I am attracted to, date, and etc men but I do not rule out female possibilities" would cause people to say "oh you're bi" and the answer to that question is a resounding NO. I am not.

Am I making sense here? It's really late for me tongue.gif

Personally, the way I see it is this: You are you. Everyone is their own person. Whatever floats your boat, fine. I don't label people who prefer red wine over white, etc. I see no reason to truly label people who prefer men to women and etc.

There's a Tales of Symphonia anime? I knew about the Tales of Eternia anime...or am I just getting confused now?

And of course Noir's music rocks. It's done by Yuki Kajiura. And she is goddess supreme of anime music.

2004 was an amazing year but it wasn't without it's fair share of craptacular games.

My vote is: Leisure Suit Larry: Magna Cum Laude.

This game was un-freaking-believable. It could've been funny and had so so gameplay and it would've been ok. And I'll admit....I did laugh a few times. And even quoted. But still......bland gameplay (most of it revolving around "conversations" in which you, as a sperm, dodge things....fun) and a horrible excuse for boobies do not a good game make.

There's only one things worse then this.

The Guy Game.

People....If one more game like this gets made, I'm going to go on a frenzy with the developers. Whenever game designers make crap like this, it makes baby jesus weep.

What are your thoughts?

Holy god, am I happy! I've heard rumors of Family Guy coming back and now it is! Totally ROCK! I've always been a huge fan of this show because it *SMOKE!* is just so god damned funny and totally unpredictable *SMOKE!*. Who can forget the great episodes like Petoria, when Peter annexes Joe's pool or *ARE YOU SMOKING YET?!* the episode I keep quoting, Peter Goes to Washington when he becomes a lobbyist for his new tobacco company bosses. That doll was awesome. Hahahaha...tastes like happy! *giggles* Oh it's fun.

If anyone owns the DVD's LISTEN TO THE COMMENTARY! These guys are freaking hilarious and hard working. They deserve our utmost respect. And Seth McFarlane is hot....especially when he's doing Stewie's voice.....YUM! happy.gif

Fey - It's not horrible, really. But then again, I haven't been really playing enough to have any problems.

And you're right, it totally is a lot of courier missions. Becoming a Jedi is a REALLY long process that can take months or years to accomplish. I understand making it hard so not everyone does it...but still. Lame. I doubt I'll be on SWG very long.

I've been talked into playing EQ2 but I doubt I will. Matrix Online looks interesting, but I don't really care. Then there's Guild Wars. So far, I don't know that much about it, only really what's been posted here, but that does sound kind of fun. My problem is that I still prefer offline console gaming. So I don't know how this is going to turn out. We'll see.

First off, PsychWardMike, you asked about Silent Hill 4. Allow me.

I'm a major Silent Hill *FANATIC* and I can honestly tell you, it's totally worth playing. They all are. But 4.....4 is....it's unique. It's got some quirks that the others don't that are kind of aggravating. To plays of the game all i will say is this: Eileen. Now, on the other hand, the game's major update, first person mode in the apartment, is pulled off wonderfully. There's this FANTASTIC feeling of claustrophobia throughout the game. And when you get to "the second half" well.....it's really scary happy.gif But play it. Trust me.

Anyway, my awards for Game of the Year are:

Best Racing - Tie Burnout 3/Need for Speed Underground 2.

Burnout 3 is by far the most insane, adrenaline pumping, OH MY GOD GET THE TIMES FOUR GET THE TIMES FOUR YOU STUPID SACK OF........that I have ever played. It's just incredible. It's only downside is that it nerely ruins ALL other racing games before you because after playing this game every other racing game will be Driving Miss Daisy 2: Electric Bugaloo. NFSU2 I also picked because it's still a solid racer and plays just as well as the original release, but the wealth of customizations available to you now is just insane. Well done game.

Best Action - Ninja Gaiden.

I hate this game. I really do. But I love it so much. Most players who experience it will agree. Sexy control, beautiful graphics, amazing gameplay....hair pulling difficulty.

Best FPS - Halo 2.

Come on. Does this need an explanation? When I get on Xbox Live I challenge anyone and everyone to a sniper game on Coagulation! Or Rockets on Beaver Creek. Bring it!

Best RPG - Tie: Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne/Shadow Hearts 2

Both games were games I was looking forward to for 2004. If I had to pick one, it'd be SMT....I'm a total MegaTenist. Shin Megami Tensei is one of the most spell binding games you will ever play. Dark gritty storyline, Pokemon-esque parties, music and graphics to die for. You get the idea. In this game, you are a human who survives the Conception, in which Tokyo becomes its own spherical world. It is your job to obtain demons into your party either through negotiations with them or by fusing current demons together and search the world for your Reason, or the way that you will remake the world. It's REALLY complicated to explain, but if you've been curious...I highly advise looking this one up.

That's all I've got for now. LOOONG post, ne?

Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex is about to be at the top of my list...just as soon as I finish it.

Right now however, I have become HORRIBLY addicted to Naruto. I mocked Naruto fandom for a looooong time and refused to watch it. It seemed too "Dragon Ball" for me. But then I watched it. And didn't stop. I'm on Episode 80 now. Naruto is everything DBZ *WISHED* it was and more. And besides...the band Asian Kung Fu Generation did the second intro and they rule.

.Hack//sign *WAS* pretty cool. WAAAY better then the games. Though you kind of HAVE to play the games to finish the storyline.

Noir is also one of my favorites. The music (Kajiura rocks!) the animation the stories the characters. Everything. Gorgeous.

Any Xenosaga fans out there? The anime just started airing in Japan and they're up to Episode 3 there...I've got all three subtitled now from fansubbers...its bizarre...some of it's cool (they condense 4 hours of gameplay into one episode!) but some is just....what were they thinking? Just had to get that off of my chest.

I was on FFXI for awhile, but the endless level grinding destroyed my sanity. That noise you hear? That's me driving rusty nails through my head.

So, now I've started Star Wars Galaxies. That....isn't much better for me.

Goodbye tacky overly expensive games....hellooooooo free ones (with friends!)

Oh it's good to be back.

I haven't seen as many movies this year, but I personally believe Kill Bill (as a whole) definitely gets a nomination. As does Hero. My good GOD did Hero rock my fragile little world. The fight scenes were beautifully done and the dialogue (in original Mandarin anyway) was well written and acted. The pacing and art and music and *joygasms* Best Foreign Film. Best Action/Drama. Best everything. Just give it to it already.

I haven't seen Eternal.. yet but I really want to.

Another movie I would really like to mention is The Village. Say what you will, but that movie drew me in in such a way...it was absolutely incredible. This terrific feeling of claustrophobia, the excellent acting and setup...the movie was unbelieavable. Even though I had figured things out plot-wise early on, I was still shocked and enthralled by the revelations brought about by the ending scenes. Beautiful.

I'm having troubles picking just ONE favourite.....everything that I've seen, I've liked a lot. Tough call.

And I agree with Mata. Shrek 2 was pretty good, but the first one was better. And Shaun of the Dead.....priceless. Watch that and the American remake of Dawn of the Dead and tell me which one was better. 'Nuff said. happy.gif

My babies! >_< How I miss thee!

Haha, Missy, very funny.....but very true in an increasingly annoying way. Yes, this is my fault, but financial-ness ain't so hot...least it wasn't. It's better now.

Yes, Captain Penis. I obtained it at work (for those that don't know I'm currently working at Hobby Lobby...more details on that some other time). I was standing in an aisle talking to good ol' Julia (Ratt, She Who Brought Me Here) and wearing a big polymer X-mas tree on my head doing the Hitler stance....it was all very random. My manager walks by, gets all serious in his face and says "wow...all I can say is....Captain Penis" So....I'm keeping it around. It just works for me. happy.gif

I'm going to try and get on as much as possible to check in on you rascals, but this is a family computer and Mom frowns on me spending the holidays on the internet. Thankfully, she got an X-box for Christmas, so maybe I can distract her with some NFSU2 or Halo 2 and use the internet all to myself. I can even use AIM (no other chat proggies will work, sadly).

Anyway, I'm just rambling. It's so good to be here. I make a stern promise to be here FOR GOOD come the end of January. And you can all hold me to that. I'll even give you my contact info (if you don't already have it) and you can call and harass me all you like biggrin.gif

Frog - We ladies have *MUCH* Commie gossip to....erm...gossip about! That's what e-wives do....the whole "old women in a knitting circle" routine. Much fun.

Irish - *squishies to deathies with huggies*

Commie - *lick* wink.gif

Missy - Still with Wal-Mart? I might be back there...*REAL* soon....feel for me! Can't wait to talk to you again, why haven't you called me? sad.gif

Anyway, laters all.

Greetings and salutations, ladies und gentlemen.

***I LIVE!!!***

I'm on the worst computer on the worst connection ever, but I couldn't help popping in and saying hello.

I miss you guys sooooooo much! *squishies*

I really do mean it when I say expect to see Aries as a regular again. And then the fear can begin. Bwahahah. Or some such.

Anyway, I'll have access to the internet all weekend so I'll peek in from time to time and get caught up on everything I've missed, which I'm sure is a lot. Fill me in if you like. (insert innuendo laced rebuttal here _______.)

Anyway, love love and all that peachy-ness. Talk to you all again soon.

Hi, kids, it's-a-me-again...Aries! Just dropping in for a quick minute here to say hello to everyone.

So today I *FINALLY* got a job. And those who know me well will be *DAMN* surprised too. I work for an organization called New Voters and it's a non-partisan organization that works to get young people between the ages of 18-24 registered to vote. I'll be helping finish up that part of things over the next few weeks. We go around to public places and ask passerby to register if they're not already. Then after this stuff is done, in a few weeks we'll start going to door to door and calling these people up and making sure that they're going to vote on Nov 2nd. Crazy, huh? Well, it does sound kind of fun, but it's so weird. I've never done anything for a job that's actually been....what's the word...that benefits the community, nevermind something like voting. Should be interesting. We'll see.

Hopefully this means I can *FINALLY* get internet at my apartment. I *REALLY* need it.

Love you all muchly and I'll be hopefully back soon.

Yes, it is true. Every idiot and flippin' dog drives in this country and about 85% need to *NOT* be driving. There needs to be some sort of intelligence check before they let these people on the road.

I'm lucky to live in a college town. I don't even NEED to drive now. I'm getting along just fine without it. Where my feet can't take me, the public buses can. I was only driving my car to work because it was in the next big town over, about 20 miles away.

It's good to see and hear from you all again. I've missed you all muchly. Here's hoping for internet soon. My room mate Joe has decided he wants to hold off a little while on internet because it's *VERY* possible he'll be experiencing a layoff at his factory job here real soon. And if he isn't laid off there's always that large strike coming up.....So we're all pretty much doomed. happy.gif

Despite the stresses this is all causing I'm still trying to adjust to domestic life. I've gone from never really having a steady boyfriend to living with one. It's quite the leap in life style let me tell you. I'm just lucky the boy is as big of a dork as I am, so we end up getting along pretty well. There's some pretty nagging issues in the back of my mind, but now is not the time to let them get to me. I'm just enjoying his company. Once I get back online, expect us on a lot.

Anyway, that's it for my blabbering for the day. Miss you all, love you all dearly, and all that other warm squishy stuff I don't feel like spouting. Toodles.
