Strange Dreams Options

I recently had a dream so vivid that I'm convinced it's a memory of my death in an alternate reality. I'm with my family at the base of a commercial building. There's a crowd of people around. The ground shakes and from a distance we see a wave of water. A little girl stands in the crowd crying. I pick her up and we begin to make our way to the building. As we reach the entrance, the water hits us and knocks people over. The water shoots us inside and we grab on to a staircase banister inside the building and make our way up. As we do another wall of water comes rushing up and we have to run to beat it. On the second floor we stop because the water is no longer rising. The girl in my arms is still crying, but I'm with my family. I look out a large window and see brown water rushing past. The building shakes and shifts and starts to fall face down. The window bursts and we're all swallowed up in water. The little girl's ripped out of my arms and I barely am able to hold my breath before I'm sucked under. I rise to the surface and see my father and then I go under again and wake up.

Oo, I hate that kind of thing - does anyone else ever get that feeling when they're crossing the road and notice a car just in time? You feel part of you split off and get hit in another universe... It's rather odd. Surely that's not just me?

Personally, I just look both ways when I cross the road

No, it's not like deja vu, it's like I can feel another version of me stepping out and getting hit... It's rather odd.

A part of my dreams this morning:

My girlfriend and I are in the warehouse of my work. A bird comes in through the back doors and flies around for a little while. I manage to grab it. It is a female rufous-bellied niltava and - even in the dream - I find it very odd that this Asian bird should be flying wild where I work. I look at it for a little while, wondering whether I am just being silly and that it is actually a robin. I then notice, just underneath the feathers on its breast, a thin strip of black plastic. I pull at it, and out of the bird's body comes a Smart Media card. It's incredibly thin and flexible. I go into the office, and put it into the computer. It holds several folders of photographs, documents, spreadsheets, etc. I recognise some of the photographs, and some of the work on it, and realise that is belongs to LoLo. I wonder why she put this card in the bird, and why it has come to me. I try to figure out whether she meant for the bird to fly to me somehow, or whether it is just some huge coincidence.

I dreamt I was going to a concert with some friends, but naturally we had to stop at Wal-Mart first for some refreshments. They were taking too long, and I was just learning to fly, I went over to the towel rack and climbed on top. I jumped off in a Superman fashion, "flying" (it was really more like forward propelled falling) over an elderly couple in the Wal-Mart equivalent to wheel chairs. This didn't make security happy, so a short guy that was supposed to be Lisbeth's guardian from The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, followed me until he caught up with me. We went to the security center, which looked like the carpet racks at Home Depot. Eventually, he said something along the lines of "We can just forget about all of this if you want to come over tonight...", so I took that as my cue to run. He followed. I made it to my friend's car, and dove in the backseat. Nothing peculiar here, except that my friend's fiance was driving (he never lets her drive lol), and my other friend's ten year old sister was riding in a baby seat. We made our way to the concert, which ended up just being a huge bounce house.

Last night I dreamt that I was staying at a Centre Parcs holiday village with a group of friends. The house we were staying in was really messy - and we were to blame - but we all just sat amongst the junk in the main room. At one point I walked out into the hallway to discover that the wooden front door was bent slightly: somebody had prised the door open and broken into the house whilst we had been in the other room. To one side I saw the length of wood that I had apparently used to do this.

Although they had broken in, they had not stolen anything at all.

Before I got my most recent tattoo, I dreamt that somehow the tattooist had gone all the way up my neck without me noticing. It was quite a nice design, but I was still really angry, so I woke up...

And when I woke up I saw that she'd really gone up onto my neck without me noticing and it was a really crap tattoo! I was really angry and so I woke up...

And then I realised I'd not been tattooed yet

A few nights ago, I dreamt that a group of people that made my life hell in school had somehow managed to trash my beloved jeep. I can't tell you how devastated I was for that first 30 seconds after I woke up.

FYI. I really love my jeep.
