I'm gonna pack my big duffel with provisions and leave home, with the intent on only returning when it's time to get ready for school next year.

Three more days for me, for semester testing.
But...I just plan on kicking with the friends and boyfriend, I think I'm going camping for a week but that's the only plan that's set in stone. Hopefully lots of snowcones and swimming will be involved, plans involving a video camerea to record the summer have been discussed.  two of my best friends and myself have their birthday over summer break too, so I'm looking foward to those celebrations. Also, I won't be a freshman next year, and I'm thrilled. Because that. sucked. hard. Even though I left school last year, I am still going to hijack this thread
 Summer is officially the best time of the year FULL STOP. Last year's summer of hanging about in London, going to Holland, going to Orkney and a couple of music festivals inbetween will be hard beaten. *is all bouncy now it is summer!* But this year I will be house-sitting for a friend of ours in London and helping him do work to his house, build a cardboard box castle in the basement (and most probably sleep in it*), go to two music festivals (Latitude and Truck if anyone wondered), try to get to the Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream festival again, hang out as much as possible at various beaches along the East and South East coastline, perhaps go to France for a weekend, and turn 19. Oh, and hold down two jobs- still working off last summer's debts >_< *Being an adult is awesome. A couple of weeks ago, Wytu and I spent about £10 on Pick 'n' Mix at Hamleys >_> -------------------- We are unraveling our navels so that we may ingest the sun. I'm not off school for another couple of weeks, but once my GCSEs are over, I'm gone until September. I'll probably be getting a job as a trolley monkey at Tesco over summer, to earn a bit of money. I also plan to play plenty of basketball with some friends over the holidays.

I hate you all!!!! I Thought this was going to be about the bliss of half term. But no. It is about the unfairness that is America getting far longer holidays that Britain. I am a teacher and it stinks!!!! I still have another seven and a half weeks to go before I finish work.

I'm on unofficial study leave, whereby the exams have begun, and while teachers think we should still attend lessons, noone is forced to attend, and Year 11 can come and go as we please right now.

I kinda had this idea about washing 30 cars a day for $7 each and have about 7k at the end of the summer and buying this really awesomely beautiful guitar that is absolutely perfect. Turned out, that's not possible.
Been having pretty nice weekends at the beach though, so the summers not a complete waste this year. -------------------- |
