Everything at this moment in time could of been so different if one person had said or done something totally different to what they had done hundreds maybe thousands of years. Everyone has so many ancestors and if something had happened to just one of those people in the links of life then you wouldnt be sitting here reading this today, maybe someone else would be or maybe no one at all. All our ancestors survived disease, famine, drought, war, for us to be all able to sit here today and moan about life when we seem to forget about how amazing it really is, and how amazing the process has been for us to be today.

Hmm now ive got it out of my system maybe i can sleep

I suppose not but then it makes you wonder, what if we all just stopped moaning about life and got on with it what other things could we accomplish?

perhaps you should, but you could technically sit here say it and still do it?

Do you ever get the feeling theres something really wrong with the world and you cant put your finger on it, like sometimes im standing at the bus stop and watching life go by and thinking this isnt right, i dont belong here (and this is all pre matrix thinking btw)

I kind disagree... Live is usually boring, painful... Rarely fun. Why should we be greatful just for being here if we don't know what not existing would be like? It might be alot better... Life is amazing, but that isn't nessisarily a good thing. Then againt, it's fairly late and I'm pretty strung out so perhaps we should just forget I posted this. Or I could just not press the 'add reply' butto... too late biggrin.gif

Life is only boring if you make it boring. If your bored go do something interesting and no we dont know what not existing would be like, but one day we will find out so we might aswell make the most of this life as it is, and then when we arnt alive anymore we will make the most of the next stage, if there is such a thing.

Life is now, live it.

Quite right, caught. Life is boring because you fail to make it interesting. Life will happily pass ya by if you do nothing about it. That's not making life boring, that's allowing it to be.

Life can only ever be as interesting as you can make it. Example, flying halfway round the world may be interestin, but if ya can't afford it, then it's not summat that ya can fix.

However, there IS more to life than sittin around complainin ya can't afford to do anything. Go to a library and read a book. Join a volunteer group for a homeless shelter. Go visit a friend an watch TV with them. I dunno, there's lots o things that anyone can do to prevent the rot settin in..

Well I'm here arn't I?

I just find life rahter pointless, you live it, then you die it, then there isn't anything. So why live in the first place?*

*Philosphical question, not an actual one. If anyone's getting depressed stop reading now, or just tell yourself that there is a god and an afterlife because there might be, I just don't bebieve in one smile.gif

Im gonna answer it anyway

Because you might aswell!! We would still be sitting around in caves if everyone thought that. So we might aswell make the most out of life, just think of all the people that are dying, have been told they have a few months to live, they usually go out and make the best of what time they have left and thats what everyone else should be doing becuase we dont know when we will be dead or struck down by an awful illness. I often think whats the point in living, we will be dead anyway and then it wont matter, but we are here now and we dont know what awaits us ahead.

So everyone lives on the assumption that there's an afterlife, even if we think there isn't one? Yeah, I pretty much agree with that.

I don't find life very amazing though. You might be able to avoid boredom, but it's very difficult to aviod pain.

The thing about humans is, they can adapt. You can deal with your pain and move on. It does depend but you find people with physical pain still living their lifes to the max, and even emotional pain, especially emotional pain you can learn to deal with and then move on.

And I dont assume theres an afterlife, i dont have any ideas at all, not being religious but i do believe there is something afterwards, i dont know, dont get me started on this one

I don't assume there's an afterlife either. AFAIC, this is it, the one chance, the only shot. So make the most of it.

I always take the view that ya can never truly appreciate the good if ya never experience the bad. Yes, life is generally cruel and unfair, but at least as a human being you have a choice in which way to go. You have no natural predators. You're able to move freely within yer own country. Yer able to make yer own life choices. Ultimately, you are the creator of yer own destiny. Whether ya believe in an afterlife or not, surely the point is to take life an try and make it what you want it to be. It might not pay off, there will almost certainly be a lot of hard work, prolly a lot of pain, too; but then life is a gamble, ya have to take risks if yer gonna get anythin out of it...
