It's simple, really...

Look at the lyric below. See how it ends with a word in italics? Think of a lyric from another song that has that word in it. Now write it in the next post, making sure to say what it is and who it is by.

Now, the next person will have to find a lyric that contains the last word of your lyric! See how it could go on forever?

Let's see how long this lasts...

A nice easy one, then:

This is not really happening...
You bet your life it is!

('Cornflake Girl', Tori Amos)

I like the sound of your whistle
I like the way you wear your grin
I even like the taste of my will caving in
I'm not a junkie FOR your love
I'm not a junkie
I'm not a junkie for your love
I'm not a junkie
Don't tell the captian
Don't you tell him what I've done

The sirens are screaming
and the fires are howling
way down in the valley tonight.
There's a man in the shadows
with a gun in his eye
and the blade shining oh so bright.
There's evil in the air
there's thunder in the sky
and a killer's on the bloodshot streets.
And down in the tunnel where the deadly are rising
oh I swear I saw a young boy
down in the gutter he was starting to foam in the heat.

The heat is oh - on,
The heat is on,
It's on the street,
The heat is...
on

leo, that song was so comedy that I almost forgive you for posting before I could. I had the lyrics for 'White Light/White Heat' by Velvet Undergound ready to roll...

Ooh this uncertainty, is taking me over
Is taking me over

To tread this fantasy, openly
What have I done

you were better off
then i found you
but i took too long
so can you take me on

this is your warning
i lost my touch
you've got a lot to ask for
i don't have much
so can you take me on

i found you alone
cast a smile cast a stone
it's a better me beginning to show
and i let it go
watch me let it go tonight
it's a total eclipse of the sun
are you having fun
is this what you had in mind

(this "tough" one was tough!!)

The sorrys they follow so soon
Eager for hopeless resume and you ask why you?
The shouting just cuts through the wall and
the shadows connect on the wall but you're too tough, you're too tough to fall

So what lead you here? Was it the man or the misery?
And what are you in for? It's not love but sympathy

now that I know that I'm breaking to pieces I'll
pull out my heart and I'll feed it to anyone
crying for sympathy crocodile cry for the love
of the crowd and the three cheers from
everyone dropping through sky through the
glass of the roof through the roof of your mouth

I want to be by myself, sometimes I do.
I don't want to be left behind, but sometimes I'm left by you.

I press my tongue to the top of my mouth,
’cause my jaw, was tired from the thinking.
I stretched my toes to the end of the couch,
'cause my back, it was aching from sleeping.

So what is this weather, and what is this darkness,
and why do I feel so ALONE?

I'm missing your bed, I never sleep
Avoiding the spots where we'd have to speak
& this bottle of beast is taking me home.
I'm cuddling close to blankets and sheets
You're not alone & you're not discreet.
You make sure I know, who's taking you home.
I'm reading your note over again.
There is not a word that I comprehend,
except when you signed it
"I will love you always & forever"
As for now I'm gonna hear the saddest songs,
and sit alone and wonder,
how you're making out,
but as for me I wish that I was anywhere
with anyone making out

You allude to everything negative there was
Making out that's all we had
Couldn't you believe that there would be an end to it
All the good could be that bad

There is just one thing to say
There's a lesson here to learn, Can you use it in any way?
You are nothing without my love

You Are Nothing

(how great is this, im using the same song twice!! a different part though)

You were leaving some bar, and you're coming downtown,
You're not ripping out stitches, but you want me around.
Just to call you my love, just to call you my love.

You are the treasure custodian cleaning the moon for me.
Scouring the sky so the stars would shine bright.
You stand straight-faced, and tip-toed on top of a ladder,
and I wait.

I crawl out of sight for you dear
I melt with the night, I disappear
I won't have more fun with you
Never get drunk with you
I'm letting you go for good

I've pulled it apart for you dear
I wait for my hear to shift gear
I'll let you down for good
