So, I've been working for a company which publishes cell phone games and I was wondering - does anybody actually play these games? If so, what games do you play on your cell phones, and why do you like them?

my phone came with Worms Forts 3D on it, I've completed it now but only because of an inibility to sleep and no desire to get out of bed to do anything else.
I wouldn't pay for games to put on my phone, generally. -------------------- |

I've got some sort of game where the idea is to match up pairs of fruit... Or something like that. I've played it once: I got bored after I'd managed 10 minutes without any sense of challenge.
It's a difficult business because you've got incredibly casual gamers being exposed to games, and they are by far the biggest market for them. Most 'hardcore' gamers won't play many mobile games, I think, because mobile games are mostly pretty rubbish compared to their home consoles, so everything has to be for the casual market, which means that mostly you want to be making addictive, simple, Flash-like games. -------------------- Trouble Down Pit: Still updated every Monday and Friday

The tetris demo, because I cba to buy it. I like it a lot. That's it, though. Nothing else really worth playing.

Bounce! It is the ultimate game. It kept me awake many nights. But since I got a new phone the games are boring. Backgammon is always fun, but the games which are sports are always not so fun.

"Music is a moral law. It gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination, a charm to sadness, gaiety and life to everything. It is the essence of order, and leads to all that is good, just and beautiful, of which it is the invisible, but nevertheless dazzling, passionate, and eternal form." - Plato |

I once played snake on a friend's phone and stopped after I had doubled their highscore and got too bored to continue.

Nokias still come with snake on them, it's all 3D and stuff now but it's still as boring as ever. The guy who owns the nokia also has the sims 2 on it, I don't want to know how much it cost... it's boring to play and very limited in what you can do.

I think I tried the games when I got the phone and have since never looked at them again.
I'm a poor example though as I only use the phone as a phone. I don't access the net, only have the standard ring that it came with, and admittedly have never figured out how to text anyone. -------------------- |

I recently got a new Samsung D900 and have played all the games on it to completion. There's also a demo of Tetris on it which I could opt to buy. I've been sorely tempted, because Tetris is such a [*cough*- Mata] good game. So, yeah, I do.

I only play them if I'm really bored and waiting for a bus or something. My phone has one where stuff falls from the sky like tetris but you have to match up colours that are the same. I also downloaded a few free ones from the net like chess, pacman and sokoban

I have a few games on my phone, but I only really play two of them: WK Spelltris, and Puzzle Bobble. They come in very handy when I am standing around waiting for someone to arrive, or a friend is taking a phone call and therefore I have been abandoned briefly.
