As it seems that there's a Scuttler/Smiler combined effort (+/catastrophe) in the offing I suppose I should lend a hand reviewing the document.

No not a default hunny they requested that feature
The only default of creatorship was that they leave my cookies alone...and as they know the consequences of messing with MY cookies...they get left alone.
