In deference to the fact that I've spammed all the sections of the forum today (or at least made a spirited attempt to)

HELP

My sister is listening to the hits- Busted, Girls aloud, DJ Sammy.... not even my headphones at full volume can drown her out!

Does everyones siblings differ from them so much in musical taste?

My sister, fortunately, likes classical music. I'm a big musical theatre person. The only bad thing: She has a limited comprehension of musical theatre, and therefore needs many things explained to her (i.e. "Why aren't they acting?" "This is the concert version"). Also, she never listens to her music loud. That helps.

My brother is constantly playing good music. The problem is that it's TOO DAMN LOUD!!!! All things aside, I have to sometimes steal his CDs to preserve my own sanity. Besides, Christian Rap is better.

There is actually a genre called Christian rap????

Well. I guess you learn something new every day.

Meanwhile, I no longer live with my younger siblings, but they have AWFUL taste. The love everything MTV tells them to love. Well, everything in the pop genre, anyhow.

...

Yeah. I know. They even watched that first thing of Making the Band and bought their album. And they adore American Idol....

Ah, the misguided youth of today...

I'm constantly trying to get my little sister to appreciate my taste in music, she said the cures 'pictures of you' was the most boring thing she's ever heard...
I've given up on most things, she likes r n b so I'll download some Jill Scott for her which is at least better than Ashanti or whatever it's called...
And there's a chance she just *might* like something like Jeff Buckley but I doubt it.

i dont really know the area of what we listen to but we all just fall in together when we listen to mudvayne, slipknot, ect. but other then that like i listen to alot of misfits, the dead milkmen, and dropkick murphys, josh listens to alot of diffrent techno, mark is really into mansonand the such, steve likes country, and levi is into rap... we just cover about everything and we fight over our music alot (luckly mark lives in indie josh in orgon) so i really only have to deal with steve and levi... its fun tho

My sister's an R&B, rap, and emo kind of girl. I... am not. I would rather die than listen to that all day.

My ex-roommate listened to a fair amount of frustrating "girl with guitar" kinds of singers. And a few country. Ugh. Ugh. Ugh.

<My one brother Robert (whom I live with) has better musical taste than me. Which is probably why I keep borrowing his CDs. Where does he find all this wonderful stuff?! I really don't know... He must hae some sort of psychic powers that allow him to know exactly when a good band is coming out. I one the other hand have some sort of hit or miss luck with music. I'll often type random words into my file sharing program and download whatever I don't recognize. I've found some lovely stuff, but also some utter peices of crap. Ever heard of Bowling for Soup? Yeah. That's the kind of crap I sometimes end up with on my computer...

All this talk of rap reminds me of Family Guy.

Radio: We have a gang shooting, three wounded, one dead...

Brian: Is it me, or is rap music getting lazier?

Well I am into almost anything but hardcore f this f that rap, and I hate reggae tongue.gif

As for my older sister, she's into some rock groups like Ledzepplin and I think Santana ( likes it too ) but she is way more into the beatles and music from the 50's, 60's and 70's.

Good thing I have a wide variety of tastes tongue.gif laugh.gif

Nope. Not any more.

When my sister was 8-11 she was really into Avril and all this stupid gay pop trash, but then she stopped hanging out with her silly friends because they sucked and listened to what I play from sitting around at the computer with me. I am now proud to say she adores decent music like CKY and The Smiths. Go me, I save musical wreckage.

*I don't reccomend letting people's sisters stay at their computer. Because of it, she has a typing style IDENTICAL to mine, and thus most of my friends believe she is me.
