(I assume we're thinking of the same cookie? The American ones?) We used to have a little American shop here in sunny Wiltshire (uk) where I could get my cookie fix. However, now it's a Blockbusters. Bastards.... Ohhh... 100th post -only fitting it should be about cookies.

Yeah - Oreo cookies in America - they're the same cookies you get in Cookie and Cream Hagaan Daz.
They have a really dark crunchy bit, which isn't really chocolate (what the hell is that BYW?) and a creamy centre. they don't sell the mint ones in my home town, but an hour and a half away here in saskatoon, they do... weirdness... i prefer the fudge ones to the mint, i don't care much for the combo of chocolate and mint- i ate too many peps as a kid!

When the cookie jar is empty and there are only all the assorted crumbs in the bottom, I pour them all into a bowl, add milk, and have "cookie cereal." This was before we stopped buying cookies at my parents' house. Damn low-fat diets x 3.
I voted for the white chocolate macademia nut! (WCMN) While working at the U of S campus, I got addicted to raspberry chocolate coffee and WCMN cookies from Treats! |

My enduring memory of visiting Florida and the theme parks there is of eating a simple cho-chip cookie in Disneyworld. They're warm and soft and sweet and just savoury and chewy enough to release all of the flavours and textures in the right quantites into your mouth at once... choc-chips are Paradise.
