Oh yes, not so computer based, but at the moment I'm playing Ultimate (Frisbee).
*

I used to play that many years ago... Oh dear gods, it was about eleven years ago. I practised with the Croydon team once too. They were amazingly good. They could throw the disk with incredible precision for the length of a football pitch with no problems at all.
*

We're not so good atm, more a sort of we can throw the disk down the length of a football pitch and expect it to come back down from the tree its landed in eventually... XD nah, we're getting on alright, though I only joined the team this year, and the only thing they won last year was a second place for "spirit", behind a team who played as if they were monkeys. So not looking good then... still, I'm learning a few of the more advanced throws myself now, and our captain knows his stuff, so hopefully it'll get better in the next few months.

I've recently been replaying Driver on the PC, though less so now I have a net connection again.

Also various playstation games thanks to the acquisition of a PSOne for £9 with a controller and memory card. Currently playing an odd mix of RC de Go (awesome but underrated RC car game), Final Fantasy VII, Gran Turismo, Grand Theft Auto 2 and Tony Hawks 2.

All in all it's good if about 7 years out of date.

Well now I feel decidedly out of place.

I play Counterstrike:Source most of the time I'm on the PC. But in my defence I stick to the "surf" maps.

And the last few weeks I have reawakend some of my old strategy games, Homeworld 2, Dark Reign 2 and even Age of Empires 2.

I still think Quake 3 is the best game ever though, for pure hyperamped multiplayer ph34r.gif ARRRGGHHH ph34r.gif

And i forgot somehow to include the original Rollercoaster Tycoon. Watching little people scream to their deaths from 300 ft up is heaven. blink.gif

Some day I may get around to playing online against other people. I've played online Hearts (everyone quits after a round because thy decide it's boring) and Reversi (were most people are crap except for super-ninja players who rate themselves too low) and chess, which is better played over several cans of beer and light philosophical conversation. It's safe to say that I'm yet to be converted to the thrills of online gaming.

After my sister and I discovered that you could drown people who didn't like the rides, we could play that game for hours.

I like to play a lot of the games on E-Baums world. Mostly Tetris and Reversi.

Currently, as far as real games go, I'm playing Devil May Cry 1 (still!) and really waiting for Soul Calibur III, Viewtiful Joe: Red Hot Rumble, and Ratchet: Deadlocked. Those are the only three games I really want right now.

Aside from Disgaea, LaPucelle, and Phantom Brave. I really want those.

Maybe it's for the best then wink.gif

I think crosswords count, they are a type of game after all.

I'm considering restarting Half Life on the PS2. I got stuck without enough ammo to beat a big monster near the end last time and I want to finish it before trying HL2 (whenever I get around to playing that, that is).

I brought F.E.A.R today.

It is bloody terrifying.

I kinda relieved that my computer is too crappy to have all the lighting and shadow effects, otherwise I'd be bursting a blood vessle every time the radio crackles.

You have to play this game. It's deffinitely the scariest game I've ever played. Morso than the undead levels of Thief or AvP.

Project Zero currently holds the reign for scariest game that I've played (Doom 3 doesn't count because the game wasn't good enough to keep me interested). Have you played that to compare the two? I've heard that F.E.A.R. is very scary indeed. I'll probably pick it up at some point for a giggle.

F.E.A.R really is terrifying. There are some real SHOCK moments. When you hear Alma giggling and the radio interferance... *shudders*.

Or when you see her run across the corridoor right in front of you, darting into the shadows and dissapearing...

And far far more.

The enemy AI is amasing. They WILL track you down and co-ordinate attacks with each other. They will jump, crawl, and leap over obstacles. They will throw grenades not just to damage you, but to flush you out. No, it's not as good as a human, but it can come very close sometimes. And I was playing on Easy.

Don't look at any spoilers online. So far I don't know whats really going on (I have suspicions) and I am up to the research facility. I keep feeling that the next corner I turn that little girl will be there again, laughing at me... or worse.

And now I have run into a new form of enemy. One that can turn invisible, climb walls, and jump through ceilings. Bloody hell they are tough... If you don't use slow-mo I'm not sure how you could take them out.

Yes, it is good. I havn't played Project Zero but from what I've heard it doesn't approach this. Doom 3 is nothing compared to this. It's like playing Wolfenstein 3D.

Sounds very good, but I might find it too stressful to actually play! I've got a thing about playing for relaxation, and if a game is making me more tense then I feel it is somewhat defeating the object of the whole thing.

On which subject, currently I'm playing bite-sized games of Zoo-Keeper on the the Nintendo DS. It's massively simple, a very old concept, but still great fun. Also, Sues is better at it than me, and I like a challenge!

We're playing through Farenheit (s'called Indigo Prophecy in the US). It's very good. Very different. Kind of a genetic cross-breed between Shenmue (except without being as dull as sand), and Broken Sword. Very interesting it is. Playing both the criminal and the detective is a bonkers move that's genius.

Get's a big thumbs up from Mr. and Mrs. Jonman.

Naaaaaaaaaay. It's just that whenever something supernatural happens (usually) your com-link starts crackling with interferance.

I've just finished the game. There arn't any huge plot twists and it's not terribly long. However it really does feel like you are in a horror film.

And the last 5 minutes of the game... they just blow you away, literally in one case. I really want a sequel and that does not happen to me much. You are left with an incredible feeling of dread... Alma truly scares the sugar out of me.

It's not a game with a wide scope like, say, FarCry. In F.E.A.R it is paced and set up like a film. The pace is good but it is not an 'adventure' game. And yeah, I did have to stop playing at points because of the fear factor... however you just need to see what happens next. Rent it or buy it, but deffinitely play it.

I just hope you have a meaty enough computer to handle the graphics.
