Hehehehe okay, so I'm in school right now and bored out of my mind. I am also extremely tired. I know I haven't been posting a whole lot lately but it's because I've been eating, breathing, and sleeping Jesus Christ Superstar.

The musical is fun in itself, lots of cool stage effects. Like when we whip Jesus our whip is covered in chocolate, and it makes it look like we're actually whipping him.

Anyways we've been working on this show night and day, I literally go to bed and wake up with the songs in my head. But finally, all the hard work has payed off because tonight is opening night!

Some of my roles in this play alternate every other night. This is because there is only one female lead (which no I do not have, it goes to an adult) and there are many girls who want the same parts. Every other night I get to be a slave girl in the temple scene. Hehe, which means I am being sold for sex. The nights that I'm not a slave girl I'm a prostitute, which means I'm selling myself for sex. What a coinkidink huh? I have such high goals for myself; sex, sex, and oh yeah more sex.

I also get to be a tormenter which means I get to go up to Jesus, sing my one line, and spit on him and push him

Meh I never really noticed what was going on in the plays myself. As a consummate geek I was always on lighting/sound and, accordingly, only watched out for certain cues. The rest of the time we were watching the TV we'd smuggled up there.

Back in high school we were an island unto ourselves, we spent class together, we spent all our free time together. We were in many respects a cult. We had our own lingo, our idols (we worshipped glowy stage tape), and had little rituals we preformed.

Jesus Christ Superstar is just one of those great musicals in the history of Western music. I'm glad to hear it went so well, Spiffy.

Has anyone seen the recently produced movie version of this that apparently was released around 2000? I've heard really good things about it, but haven't managed to find out where I can get a copy.
