For those of you who aren't aware - the state of Kansas has some people who are trying to put through some legislation to make it so that "Intelligent creation theory be given as much emphasis in the school curriculum as Evolution theory", the reason they give being that there are equal amounts of scientific evidence for both. Someone has written a letter in with their suggestions on the topic. He's also managed to get about 100,000 people to write in agreeing with him

Excellent... I'd been wondering when someone would start making fun of teaching creationism in science class. It's a rather stupid concept to begin with, and this makes it particularly easy to maock the whole idea. Thanks for sharing!

It takes many years of grumpiness, isolation, social maladjustment (and getting things published) before you're allowed to become a professor.
