Anybody out there have any quirks? I’m not talking about real phobias, just stuff that you have a real aversion to.
To start you off here are a few of mine. Wooden clothes racks and only the wooden clothes racks not the plastic coated metal ones, I can find no reason for this, they just up set me a lot. Light bulbs- I would rather walk around in the dark (and have done so) than change a light bulb. Reason over developed wariness of electricity and you have to climb on chairs lots of wobbling. Some types of plastic -smooth is fine really textured is fine, it’s the stuff that pretends to be smooth but isn’t makes my skin crawl. It used on the cheep highlighter pens that they supply at work and I have been known to wrap them in toilet paper and sticky tape before I use them. -------------------- I'm sweet and innocent me

I used to have a fear of the sound that stiraphome (sp?) makes but working in a place where I have to constantly deal with it, I've gotten over that.
Sometimes I am afraid that I'll run over another bunny on the way to school. The first one was just running across the street and got under my tired and I was devistated. Why do animals run across the highway? Dayan put this fear in me : The fear that one day my scary manequin (sp?) man will come alive and remove himself from the pole in his back and kill me in my sleep. I still like it though even though now it gives me a tiny bit of the willies. -------------------- ![]() Being Pimped By Aries Since 2003 |

I hate it when people are around me in the morning and they are eating breakfast. I don't what it is about people but when they eat breakfast in the morning they go all slurpy and weak and it really bugs me.
I'm scared of clowns because once when I was young I went to the circus but my mum had just come back from my grandpas funeral in Israel and was putting on this really big fake smile for us but I could tell that she was like all upset Aaaaah, well... I think that lots of people are scared of clowns... they are just really scary things... Ooo yeah, and when doors aren't open or shut... just inbetween... that gives me the willies big time.. hmmm -------------------- If I die before I'm waked, allow me lord to rock out naked :b

If my ashtray is on my bed, and it happens to be on a crease in the duvet I have to smooth out the crease, then put the ashtray back making completely sure it's on a nice, smooth bit of duvet.

If something is slightly off-centre, or not properly aligned, or things that are supposed to be equal are not exactly equal right down to the nearest millimetre, it makes me feel all cold and shaky and I can't concentrate on anything else until I've put it right.
I also hate it when people leave empty electric sockets switched on at the wall- I have to turn them off, and it really annoys everyone. -------------------- Official Beanbag-monger for TRIBE WYVERN (Visit us here!)

Open doors, and lights turned on in rooms with no-one in them.
Metal. Not aluminum, usually, but heavy metals mostly. I can't touch it. It's all cold, and slimy somehow, and it makes my hands smell awful. I have to tape it over (with electrical tape) or hold it with my hand in my sleeve. heh. It makes things a little inconvenient, but what can you do? EDIT: Forgot the most obvious one. I don't like people touching me either. There are a few I'm okay with, but most people and especially strangers I won't touch. That makes crowds a bit difficult... -------------------- -Grammar Nazi-quotes of the yesterday

*shudders*
I just went and brought a sandwich and was reminded of another two of my phobias. After 3 attempts they managed to understand the phrase 'brown bread please' but even after 5 or so tries they still refused to comprehend 'no mayonaisse, just margerine please' so I gave up and now I have what would be a lovely sandwich but tainted by mayo and narrowly dragged back from the jaws of a white bread based fate worse than death. It seems to be that white bread, mayo and other white foodstuffs (namely eggs and milk) remind me of maggots for some reason and I feel sick at the thought of even going near them. -------------------- I am Candice's asw emo e-husband, real life actual husband and all around awesome person, Funked)Out_Frogg's e-paramour. When I go into department stores (which is, luckily, not often), I'm really freaked out by the metal clothesracks.. No matter what age I am, it always seems that there has always been a rack directly at my eye level ready to blind me...
I also can't stand pastels or faded colors.. they're so dull that they literally make me sick -------------------- |

I also always think after I've done something (ie running down the stairs) that something could have happened, like tripping and impaling my eye on the door handle. Or even after I've ran somewhere I think of falling over. I also have a strange thing about chopping myself in half when I squeeze between my computer and my drum-kit by knocking my back on the ride cymbal... (see picture). -------------------- |

I'm disturbed by how when I talk about my phobias or fears, they seem to happen. Previously I talked about bunnies hopping in front of my car, well yesterday I had three suicidal boxes hop in front of my car. Now I know cardboard boxes aren't bunnies, but they could have been in them.
