I voted Marvel because I really really really love the X-Men (it was sad how much I used to know about them, but I was a social outcast and all that, so... comic books!) But I think that a major MAJOR shout out goes to Slave Labor Graphics. The publishers of Jhonen Vasquez and Roman Dirge make me giggle on a regular basis and put out some pretty good philosophy while doing it. Rock the hell on, baby.
And who's publishing the upcoming line of Capcom comic books? -------------------- I'm just a Viewtiful Girl living in a Viewtiful World.

I voted DC because I like Batman. Some of them have a really dark edge to them that is kinda refreshing.

I grew up on Marvel, but I'm more of a fan of Oni Press, the guys who did the Clerks and Jay and Silent Bob comics. Jim Mahfood is the best underground comic writer/artist ever.

Most of my favourite comics - Hellblazer, The Invisibles, Lucifer, Preacher, Sandman and 100 Bullets, to name some - are on DC Vertigo. Vertigo has the best stuff out there, I think.
