So, the speakers on my new PC are weird. All the sound comes out of the right speaker, unless I turn the speaker volume up to the maximum, at which point both speakers function normally. What in the Dickens is going on, and how can I resolve it?

This may be really obvious but have you checked in the 'volume control' panel that you have all of the balances set to centre... even if the balance on your 'volume control' is normal it might be the balance on your media player that is off.

The balances are centered.
edit: also, it's not specific to any one media player. -------------------- Every sort of expert knowledge and every inquiry, and similarly every action and undertaking, seems to seek some good. Because of that, people are right to affirm that the good is 'that which all things seek'...

Have you tried kicking the speakers?

Make sure the speakers are plugged all the way into the computer. I had that for a bit.
