Hi

Last night my sister and I attempted our own version of Samurai Lapin which included costumes. It didn't work out to well as my digital camera doesn't film to long. Also we didn't have real swords so we just used parts from the hoover.

At the moment me and a friend are making some hilarious Star Wars spoofs which are going really well.

.... anyway my question is - have any of you tried to act out any of the animations?

Considering the amount of slashing and killing going on in the Lapin animations, I would say it's a good thing that you only had vacuum parts to fight with.

Are you refering to a Fuzzy Knights version of Lapin? That might be interesting if done well.

Friends back in high school did a very, very, very (and did I mention very) low budget action film. They ran out of money after buying a used car to light on fire for a scene. I've only ever seen about a half hour of it. It's funny but best forgotten.

Well, not acting out animations entirely, but maybe quoting them to death. Or if you have one person pretend to be the corporation and one be Mr. Snaffleburger, that is a fun time. It usually involves a lot of "NOOOOO!" and "The corporation loves you. Yes it does. It really, really does. Don't hurt its feelings."

I performed the Samurai Lapin 1 monologue for a class once. I used a yardstick and imaginary evil ninja bunnies. That's about it.

And yes, my friends and I quote the animations to death as well.

I have what I consider a fairly healthy detachment from my animations, but I do quote them sometimes.

I've never done any live-action recreations of the animations, but if I ever get around to doingany I'm sure I'll post a video of it here!

I don't think it'd be easy to do a live action version of most of your animations. I was thinking of getting a bunny suit for the monologue, but decided against it. The bleeding ninjas would be helacious to pull off.

Oh, I don't know, a few plastic bags full of liver under other people's costumes... Give 'em a slash and there'd be blood everywhere! You obviously just weren't trying hard enough wink.gif biggrin.gif

I went to a halloween party where one of the people arrived in a white blood-splashed lab coat with plastic bags of raw meat clipped to it. It was pretty disgusting! Bloomin' art students!

...Or should that be 'bloody art students'?

I was quoting the first Mr Snaffleburger animation at my sister over dinner today... well, maybe not so much quoting as reciting... do you think I watched it too much?!

"This... is Mr Snaffleburger..."

"MR SNAFFLE-WHAT???"

"Uh... nothing."

I really don't know why I didn't come and show her the site, I really don't. Well, actually I do. She wouldn't get it. I think you have to be a certain type of person, and she certainly isn't.

Plus I want to keep it all to myself wahahahaha
