So about a half hour to forty five minutes ago, my entire area lost power. I was out shopping at the time, and they closed the stores. On my way home I noticed that the polling place had no lights on either.

Lets see....electronic polling.

....No power....

Coincidence?

Despite the fact that the power's come back on now, I can't help but be paranoid and suspect that it'll go out again later.

It's funny, I heard on the local news that there were supposedly a few "problems" with electronic polling over in the states... Does seem a bit strange.

MM apparently they had an emergency generator running at the polling place. (My mum called and I asked her.) I feel slightly less paranoid now. dry.gif

Depends ... does the power in your area come from a private company who is lobbying with bush to be able to make more power stations and more ecologically unsound stations so they can get an even bigger profit?

Cos if so ... it's still a conspiracy ...

Eh, I'm not sure if that would be consitered a conspiracy. Though in several places here in PA, when the polls opened, there was already 15,000 votes...according to their electronic computers. What's all that about??

I'm basically with narth on this one, though _maybe_ for other reasons. The very nature of the democratic process is getting laughed quite highly over there ... again ...

well, everything in the world can be counted as a conspiracy, I expect..
If you all were as schitzo as me, you would see that America is not indeed a Democracy, but under control of not, even the president (thank GOD if that were true..) but a higher, unknown, oppressive power (Dick Cheney?)
If you look at it carefully, Bush was a shoo-in.
Which has the stronger presidential name? president BUSH? President KERRY? Chalk one up for Bush.
Who has the more presidential wife? well, Kerry's wife is loud and outspoken, not all people may like her. But BUSH'S wife looks rather quaint and mostly stays out of the way. She is not very noticeable, therefore would not get in the way. Two for Bush!
And how about Lineage? it was proven that both Bush and Kerry are decended from Queen Elisabeth or someone of the like, but how about more currently? well, How about President Bush Sr.? A bush has already been in the white house! But Kerry? Who the hell knows anything about HIS lineage?? the only stuff that is really widely known relating to Kerry is that his wife is part of the infamous ketchup family. Who wants a president that is basicaly backed by a ketchup company? seems kind of freaky to me. 3 out of 3 for Bush!
so, you see, Kerry most likely never had a chance. He in fact may have just been an actor in this conspiracy of a country.. That may make sense. Bush was set up to win anyways.
...............
But then, as I said, I am schizophrenic half the time when it comes to this stuff, I hardly even believe half of what i say anyway o_o
belief or disbelief is up to you..
damn, Ido I ever sound nutso! huh.gif

Hah, yes. I remember that. I was in the school auditorium during Theater Fest practice. Not a... reasurring location when the lights go out, especially when Tony Stapleton is nearby.

But darn. Bush still won. dry.gif

*sigh*

They ended up calling it Jinx, because while it was a friendly
sounding word, it still warned of its potential for disaster. And it
was easier, at least among their circle of friends, to simply say
"Jinx" when Sophie wasn't to be trusted around anything that could
possibly be influenced by this particular trait of hers.
