as pointless polls go, it's a fairly good one tongue.gif

as to the preparation of my potatos, chips are best, I have to be really the mood for mash and it has to be nice mash, I'm not all that keen on potatos really....or rice...pasta's ok, bread rocks my world

Mu, I got it too smile.gif. And Mr T is right, it's *does accent* 'Daddy'. tongue.gif

I go for mash, because you can put herbs and veg in it, and make it scrummy-yummy.

Well, you could either just put some mixed herbs in it, or your fav one.

Re: the veg, my Ma found it was the best way to get me to eat ma greens as a child. For example there is choped up spiniche, or cheesy mash with sweet corn. Just like bubble and squeek, with out the frying I guess.

blink.gif Snuggs, we don't seem to be sharing heads at the moment, so mebe you could offer up some mash recipies?

Mash with Oregano. (best with gravy)
Mash on toast.

It depends on what you're eating it with...but I'd say chips. They're easier to eat and cook.

You guys, seriously...do you not realize that MASH and Chips are tv shows?
MASH is a military show, and Chips was a cop show...
it belongs in media because they're not talking about mash and chips the food...
but mash and chips the TV shows...*laughs*
Wow...cultural refferences are sooo lost right now.
Chips and MASH are totally cultural icons over here in the states...
I hoped some of you were joking about the 'mash vs chips = food' thing...but apparently...not...
(chips are what americans call 'fries', right? mash...i can only assume is what we call mashed potatoes? 'mash' doesn't really mean mashed potatoes in the US...
I remember the 'chips = fries' dilemma in 'feed the nine-mouthed baby'
oh, and my friend didn't know what a double-decker bus was, so she was awfully confused when it told her to 'feed me bus'...a bit off-topic, but i thought it was cute happy.gif)

Hmm, I think it's a case that mash food and chips food is more in my life than Chips the TV show, or MASH the TV show. Infact I've never heard of Chips the TV show 'til now.

This is what I know the following to look like. French Fries, Chips, and Mash.

Gezze, we have so much to teach you Americans ! tongue.gif

I just thought I'd add this link,The Big Carrot Evictions, because I came across it when I was googling for the potato pictures, and I thought I'd share it with you.
