there are many different categories that good music goes in, but just think of some important aspects..
I'll focus on pop/dance/etc music. I think it should have a catchy tune, a strong beat (like this one, i'm listening to it right now and I swear to god my headphones are vibrating!) and, if possible, make no sense. Again, like the previously mentioned one. a real head-banging song, if not a head-wild-dancing song.
What do you think? 0_0

I think, whatever music is to your taste, it should make you "feel"

(not that way!! wink.gif )

Personally I feel it should have a nice balance of all instruments without making it feel like it has the wrong instruments playing. (Think T.H.U.G. 1 edit of God Of Thunder)

Or just a really nice balance of bass, acoustic and drums. With a nice "heavy" feel to the bass melody. Aslo nice vocals. Not "Heavy Metal" vocals. (I.E. a raspy WAAAAAUGH!" that sounds like the person has laryngitis).

You can also get that buzzing sound in speakers when there's a magnetic disturbance like a mobile phone call

Good music, whatever genre it is, should create a slight tingling sensation at the back of the neck. This sensation is known as cerebral over-stimulation, or a 'braingasm'. Just remember to clean your mind afterwards.

Great music, however, should do this and make you a cup of tea. I've yet to find a tune that does that. Though certain Smiths songs make a decent espresso.
