Today, in drama, i was asked with a group of my friends (Jordan, Brittany, and Sarah) to write a play about whatever we wanted, and to make it at least 6 min. long...
...
I'm, apparently, the 'most creative', so they asked me to 'tweak' all of their ideas to make them better.
I thought to myself, 'Hehehe...'
So...here's what we decided on making our finished plotline.
there are four charicters: Manji, Mata, Frog, and Tara. (Interesting side note: i originally intended for me to be Manji, of course, but Jordan begged me to let her be 'Manji', so i ended up being Mata! happy.gif)
Manji, Tara, and Frog decide to get revenge on society for making them outcasts (or something like that) so they TP a funeral home. There is a sign by the door, denoting who is being buried the next day...and that name reads 'Mata Haggis'.
(Bwahaha!)
So, the three girls, Tara (The saucy one), Frog (I keep thinking of Amelie when i think of Frog), and Manji (She's the trouble-maker) go back to Tara's house, and they are doing usual sleep-over things, and the lights keep flickering. They realize that they have upset the spirit of Mata, and it is out for revenge. Frog wimpers out, 'Don't let it hurt me!", and Tara begins to do a seance to clear the evil spirits out of her house, so as they rock back and forth chanting "Ghost of Mata Haggis, Begone!", the stage lights start strobing, as I, Mata, slowly come out behind them in a long, hooded dress, with the hood pulled over so you can't see my face. I pace around, and the synthesizer makes an echoing effect to my (Mata's) footsteps, and I (Mata), with a wide, sweeping gesture, throw a huge black blainket over them, and they all start screaming and then they lie down, silent.
[Lights fade, evil cackle]
The end.
I love it...i really do. i think it's one of my favriote skits (right up there with the homicidal ninjas trapped in an elevator)

of course i know!
but Mata is an exeption, because of his trememdous importance to tying frog, tara, and Manji there. I mean, what would Matazone be without Mata?
(And plus, i really wanted to perform infront of the entire auditorium as Mata =D)

Oh blimey, I'm flattered to be a part of your Matazone influenced play.

Sounds funky, you'll have to let us know how the performance goes biggrin.gif

That sounds very odd, and I'm somewhere between touched and very disturbed. I'm pretty certain that I've never been portrayed on stage, and it somehow feels rather fitting that gender is one of the less important characteristics that you're using from me.

Oh, and you're right. I will rise up from the grave to punish my slayers... Mainly because I'm far too stubborn to let anyone else have the final word biggrin.gif

updates:
Apparently, according to the dialogue...
Tara: "Hey, wait, Mata Haggis? that name sounds familiar...i know! that's the person who was in the insane asylum! She died just last week, all of a sudden. they say there were no wounds on her body, and they don't know why she died."
(That's my cue to come out and start walking slowly and methodically behind them.)
the lights satart flashing, and then Tara starts doing a seance to try and tell Mata that they are all sorry for defiling 'her' funeral.
Hah. too late.
They are covered with what our group has affecftionately labeled: 'The Blainket of darkness', a big black blainket that will symbolize them all dying.
Oh, by the way, we've had a new person join our group in drama, so we have another person in the play! Who wants to bid on having their name slapped on our play?
Anyone? (if your name is absolutely unpronounceable, suggestions for names will be accepted, as well) happy.gif
Let's start the bidding at:
1 human soul!

All of those names are horridly impossible to pronounce up on stage!
Arg. 'Manji' was even a stretch, but jordan insisted on it. Hmm...i was thinking something like 'Cath' you know? nice and rather easy...'Monosodium glutemate' is rather difficult, and just try to say 'asenyth' ten times fast.
i need something creative, yet spunky. any nicknames of forumites?

How about my very own dear wub.gif? Absolutly nothing to do with the fact that he's my paramour, purley because he has an easily pronounced name. *nods* biggrin.gif

We're performing tomorrow, and getting our new scripts for an entirely different project after it's all done.
we should make an arts thread- any community projects, theartre productions, band songs, ballet performances, etc, that any forumite might want to brag about happy.gif i know Trumpet would have a few, and i'm consistantly having new productions that i'm in...how about it?
Oh, and as another idea-
everone send in a picture of themselves, and we get Mata to glomp them all in one huge forum-collage!
we could have captions telling whom is whom, and it'd be really fun...just a passing thought and it's not really related, but hey, i don't really know where to slap that idea.

Your play sounds awesome, hope it all goes well smile.gif.

There's already the Matazone family album, the thread with the link in is pinned at the top of one of the forums I think.
