You still believed in Santa? How old are you? tongue.gif

I stopped believing in santa when I was around 4 or 5, because my brother told me he wasnt real, and I always believe my brother. I do remember getting in trouble at my babysitters though for telling people that santa wasnt real....

I found out when I was 17 and my dad asked me to help him put together a bike for my little sister from Santa. Oh the pain. I'm still scarred.

I stopped believing in Santa when I was about 8, didn't tell my mum until I was 10, and have had to pretend to my sister that I still do, so I don't disappoint her...

...thing is, my sister is now almost 13 and says she still believes in Santa. Is that because 1) she really does?!?! or 2) she thinks I do so she is pretending so she doesn't disappoint me? And then I can't say anything to her about it because if I tell her and she does still believe in Santa, she'll get upset, and if she doesn't, she'll get upset at me for pretending... or 3) Because she is trying desperately to convince herself that he does exist so that she can hang on to that Christmas magic?

...my head hurts...

My Drama teacher a few weeks ago was majorly hung over, he was trying to teach us a new song for the play which had a Christmas feel to it but no one was interested.

"C'mon guys, I know Santa's not real but at least pretend for your parents"

All the small kids looked at him dazed with wide eyes of disbelief. 6 kids scarred in one line. Nice.

I can't remember when I stopped believing.

I do know that I feel it should be encouraged and cherished as long as possible in kids. I'll never tell my son that there's no Father Christmas - if he asks, I'll tell him but never will I sit down and have a conversation about it.

Innocence can be fleeting.

What counts is does what you get outweigh what you give?

Try to be in profit - it will make you happy - I promise.

They keep telling me I'm old.
Old is where it's at.
That is how I know to be in profit at Xmas.
In order to be old you have to not die.

I would like a diesel zimmer frame for Xmas - none in the shops though.

I never believed in santa to begin with. I think I'm one of the lucky ones who didn't get fed such bs.

Christmas magic = weed + staring at Christmas lights.

The rest is gravy.

Santa never really existed in my mind, 'cause we're Jewish and it's not that we were taught OUR RELIGION IS RIGHT but, you know, when learning Christian customs it was "the little kids believe in this santa claus guy..."

And even if there was a Santa, he didn't visit my house, so I didn't care tongue.gif
