I have just worked out (no-one actually tells me these things) that I will be spending a large part of Christmas Day and Midnight on New Years Eve, in an aeroplane. I fly to New York to see my Aunt, Uncle and Cousin on the 25th, then the flight back is at about 9 or 10 pm (EST) on the 31st. Meh

Looking on the bright side, there aren't many people who have celebrated New Year at 32,000 feet. Also, it could be worse, you could be one of the cabin staff. I expect there will be a great view of fireworks from above too.

In my defence, I didn't know that 'a parallel dimension' was a small town in Dorset.

I've spent my last two birthdays flying across the Atlantic. And I'll be spending this birthday doing it too. And they've never given me a free upgrade to first class either, the selfish sods.

My dad's been consistently missing mine because of business, but I suspect it's really negotiations to send my brothers to the diamond mines. And what a present that would be!

No-one, it was just a place that sprang to mind because your profile doesn't list a location and I didn't know you are in the UK... And Dorset had a nice ring to it. smile.gif

Probably because of all the other people that they upgraded already that day due to birthdays...

I've been on an airplane twice - once there, and once back on a trip to Florida to visit my cousins for a week.
Incidentally, that's the same trip that gave me my first (and only, might i add) Crips vs Bloods experience.
woo.
Just a thought...
anyway, i don't know if you kids would have seen it or not, but the most popular footage shown from the last hurricane was that of the Port Charlotte airport being ripped to shreds. Small planes moving around, chunks of the building flying off, etc...
Well, that's the airport where my trip took place.
Er...in conclusion, Airplanes are fun, and the guy beside me was quite amused by the fact i had the best of the Carpenters right beside my Satanic Boom Boom Head cd.
