So what're yours? I like cookies. And prepackaged eggrolls. And Chef Boyardee. Their oddly comforting to me (not at the same time.) And I think that Taco Bell food is good for a little solace in cold times. So what're yours?

Surprised not to see coffee?

Mine tend to change with my mood, but Eggrolls (And Chinese food in general), are always good... especially if you deep fry 'em... yum! Oh, and deep fried mushrooms!

Is an Eggroll what is know in the UK as a Spring roll, that is to say a chinese pancake filled with meat/veg and steamed or deep fried?

Comfort food should be eaten out of a bowl, with a spoon in front of the tv while lying on the sofa, otherwise its not comforting.
Mashed potato often figures, or custard (not both at the same time)

Why not? tongue.gif

Personally, for me you can't go wrong with chocolate. It raises your levels of triptophan (sp), which helps lift your mood. If only I could remember my psychology classes.

Plus. I agree with what Mike said about cookies. We call 'em biscuits over here, but they're a good choice all the same. smile.gif

Actual cookies, like the ones from Millies...*drools*
Or ice-cream, but then for me it has to be Ben & Jerry's Half Baked, the chocolate fudge brownie and cookie dough mixed one...

Hmm, so many to choose from. But I can never go wrong with a bacon sarnie (sandwich) and brown sauce. Although eggy bread is an old favourite.

Mmm Bel, mashed potatoes wth herbs and cheese.

Chocolate is a good one. Hot chocolate would b my preferance right now over a bar, but I think that's just because I'm on and I've over saturated maself these last few days. *rubs belly*

Hmm, then again Lill Pie is right too, Ben & Jerry's Half Baked chocolate fudge brownie and cookie dough never fails to hit the spot.

Too many to choose, so I say lots of stuff.

*is now hungry* tongue.gif

I find soup really does it for me. A nice hearty vegetable or minestrone soup with warm crusty bread.

I also agree that mash potatoes is another good one, as is a bacon sandwich with mayonnaise and mushrooms.

Not really. Coffee normally isn't a good comfort food (at least aparently for you and me)

so yeah, my comfort foods.....

Cold pizza, almost anything of the icecream variety, and my special honey milk. And Chai tea, preferably vanilla or raspberry.

And chocolate. *is now a raving chocoholic*

Anything unhealthy and dessertlike - a very large bowl of ice cream is the norm, cookies, brownies, cake, chocolate, you name it. Otherwise, cereal is pretty okay too. But I just eat in general when I want comfort. Actually, I just eat all the time.

Chocolate things, fresh-smelling foods like clementines and green peppers, and cheese. When I'm hungry in addition to needing comfort food, best has to be quesadillas, with nice soft tortilla and gooey cheese. Yum.

I just ate 3 ounces of cotton candy (Candy floss to you Britans, out there...). Doesn't sound like much, but in retrospect, consuming three ounces of sugar in one sitting, is not a wise thing to do... oog. blink.gif
