Okay, so I got my first exceptance letter to the University of Lemoyne.

The only problem is it's my last choice --- but they offered me a 20,000 dollar scholarship if I go for a leadership.

The conditions of the scholarship are that I "keep my acedemic record of excellence and remain in good social standing"

My mom laughed and told me that meant no sleeping around. laugh.gif I guess they got word of that low cut shirt that sps so thoughtfully told me to wear at my Columbia interview. tongue.gif

One down....seven more to go.

Any other matazonians know where they're going yet?

I have good vibes. They're all going to accept you.

Where's your first choice?

Fantastic! Congratulations! That's a great scholarship, even if the 'social standing' thing is rather odd... It would certainly help considering the costs of US universities.

Doesn't that just mean you have to make sure you stand in good social circles? I mean you could get up to, or down with who ever you wanted then. Well, just as long as you were standing. heheh

Congratulations biggrin.gif

What's a leadership by the way?

A society that takes itself too seriously risks bottling up its tensions and treating every example of irreverence as a threat to its existence. Humour is one of the great solvents of democracy. It permits the ambiguities and contradictions of public life to be articulated in non-violent forms. It promotes diversity. It enables a multitude of discontents to be expressed in a myriad of spontaneous ways. It is an elixir of constitutional health. J. Aw, thanks -- Columbia in NYC or Cornell in the southern part of New York.

lol not likely, Le moyne is a Jesuit college -- lots of wierd stuff with that. And if I went to Le Moyne it's only a 15 minute drive into the city. I kindof want to go away to college.
