I found out yesterday that I'm going to get to graduate this semester and probably transfer to a university in the fall. I'm getting my associates degree, which is barely better than a high school diploma, but I'm proud even though this two year degree took me four and a half to get. Working full time and getting an education is a pain.

Anyway.... /me does the I'm graduating happy dance.

Edit : I'm walking on May 25th, but I'm still super excited now, it never felt like this would get here and I'd get to move on. Also the counselor I saw yesterday said I should have absolutely no problem getting into the school I applied to and that I deserved to be there.

Hurrah! That's great news!

Yep, working and studying is a pain, I've been doing it for... ooo... probably five or six years now. I've not been out of work really since I was 13, but the last half-decade I've had to earn the rent, and that's a whole new ball game.

Go you!

The good news on that note is that I'm going to cut back my hours at work since I'll probably be getting financial aid at my next school.

Fantastic! Now the trick is to apply the same work ethic to your studies as you did to your employment (which is sometimes a lot harder than it sounds).
