Hey all... I'm here for a wee pat on the shoulder - I wouldn't ask for hugs (I'm probably contagious) - I think I've got the mumps... sad.gif

My face and neck are very tender and a wee bitty puffy and I've had an extreme headache for bout four/five days now... Can barely keep anything in my tummy (see 'Purchases' thread - I wasted money on junk food...), have gone deaf and could rival Hell on the old heat factor <sweats>... Have to say though - these symptoms are the least of my problems if I do indeed have el mumpos... Can we say orchitis? It is most unpleasant I'll tell you. Thankfully I'm not quite there yet!

Got my dad to check me out - he is a first-aider dude - and his "professional" opinion is: "Back infectious beast, back I say!" dry.gif Didn't know how to take that... He is making me go to the doctors which I'm inclined to agree with!

I'll keep you posted - got a doctors appointment on Monday!

Please cross assorted body parts that I just have really, really bad flu that is playing dress-up as mumps!

*whimper*

*cuddles Fal*

I've had mumps so I'm immune if it's that, if it's anything else I can take it... my white blood cells fly around with their underware on the outside and capes flapping in the plasma.

I hope you feel better soon and I hope it's not mumps.

Thankies all!

Still feeling rotten - but at least I managed to get dressed today without falling over! I have, however, went from having a puffy neck to having a lumpy neck. *dramatic music* So I'm now inclined to go with my mumps theory...

Snoo - do your white blood cells have a catchy theme tune and their own T.V. mini-series? Do they? tongue.gif

Anyhoo - I'm away back to bed to feel sorry for myself and watch feel-good films!

No, not yet... they're in negotiations with a director at the moment though, I believe.

*hugs*

... at least you have an excuse to stay in bed all day

Thanks for all the lovely hugs though! I'll try to keep my e-infectiousness to a minimum!

Doctor tomorrow... Joy!

Hey - sorry I took so long to keep you all informed. The doctor didn't really know what to say - he just mumbled a bit and spoke more about my eyeliner than my lumpy neck. I do indeedy have the mumps but fortunately they seem to like me and I'm losing the swollen look and won't suffer from any other kind of pain *cough* orchitis *cough* so that's all good in my book! The main effects of them seem to be wearing off - something about getting the symptoms fast means they clear off fast! << Joy >>

There is nothing they can really give for mumpies so I got lots of lovely pain killers and suchlike so spent most of the week in a haze! All good in my book once again!

Thankles for the wishes of well and I'm off to see about getting a new doctor... He thought the way I dress was a cry for help - not really, just a cry for someone to dress me in the morning! dry.gif
