Maaaaybe, Sam. Maybe. It is the week after the Notts meet, after all. But it's also one of the only weekends I had left free. :S

You wouldn't knowingly miss out on seeing me and Sam, would you? Come on, we're idols to you people!

JERUSALEM, Israel (AP) - In response to Israel's denial of water to the West Bank, HAMAS released three cheetahs in West Jerusalem, where they went on a killing spree, mauling four Jews and injuring thirteen.

TEL AVIV, Israel (AP) - Following a cheetah attack on West Jerusalem perpetrated by the majority HAMAS party, the Israeli Air Force retaliated by detonating twenty kiloton nuclear devices over Gaza City, Jenin, Nablus, Rafah, and Ramallah.

ASHDOD, Israel (AP) - As a result of the atomic bombings of five Palestinian cities, a 50-foot tall reptile has woken from its million-year slumber in the Mediterranean Sea. The monster has made landfall at Ashdod and obliterated the city. Eyewitnesses report that the monster left the destroyed city heading southeast.

Sorry, but I'm very low on cash and there's already two meets that month, and currently I'm not even sure if I can afford a ticket to way up in Scotland. Call me crazy if you like, but when I'm having troubles with the rent I don't think it's time for me to be galavanting around the country!

Maybe for the next meet we could do a poll? Vote on where it's to be held, then post when you are avaliable? Just an idea so that we can get a fair few people along wink.gif

I know that this is my place, but you guys can meet without me. I'm beginning to suspect that my finances aren't always going to be able to keep up with the number of times that people want to meet so don't mind me if you all want to get together.

I think we should probably get a couple of levels of meets. We seem to have the UK ones about every four months in various places, and there seem to be fairly regular London ones because it's quite an easy location for many people to get to. There's no reason that we shouldn't have more meets than this, it's up to you all, but I can't promise I wil be able to get to everything. I'm only one person, and you are all equaly important. If ten of you can do a date that I can't then go ahead with that date!

Beg to differ, these are, after all, Matameets, they happen because of you and this website you've created. Without you, it's just a meet. I always get the feeling that you "lead" the meets, you don't organise them (and I'm not ignoring the people that do) but you're a sort of figure head (not sure that's quite what I mean...but you get the idea). You've even got the "leader" coat with the purple lining! tongue.gif

Course, this could be me and the latant fanboy in me is surfacing. tongue.gif

When you look at a pearl you're not looking at the quality grain of sand in the middle, are you?

No, but you know that the pearl wouldn't exist without that grain of sand.

True, but the sand remains the sand, the pearl itself it is the object of worth.

The weekend for this one was chosen because it's one of the few weekends moop and I have left open this summer, since we wanted to meet Sam and Wytu. The four of us just thought we'd be nice and see if anyone else could attend so it could possibly be a mini-meet. tongue.gif We didn't expect many people to come since it's right after the Nottingham meet, so I think the thread was mainly for people who just happen to be in the area, if that makes sense?

I don't particularly want to rearrange it, because that would probably cause schedule conflicts and moop and I wouldn't be able to go....and not to be arrogant or anything but it was thought of so we could meet Sam and Wytu, and I live in another country. You all can meet them any time.

So Pat, stop being such a fanboy. tongue.gif It's perfectly fine if Mata isn't in attendance (hadn't expected him to be when we chose the date). It's not meant to be anything huge...just a mini-meet thing. It'd be nice if other people could come and meet up with us, but I'm not going to be heartbroken if they can't.

Cool. It's not like you're going to be popping over all the time, so make as many dates as possible while you can!
