I've decided I'm going to have a go at this

Wish me a lot of luck! As what goes up might come down very fast!

Oo, I did that about twelve years ago. 'Tis great fun and really quite easy.

When you turn the glider and begin to speed up the noise is fantastic, although you do feel a bit odd when you remember that there's only less than a centimetre of fibreglass between you and a two thousand foot drop.

Nonsence, it's perfectly safe, I went but we had a low cloud base and they have to stay below the clouds, the net result being, if something did go wrong, the parachutes wouldn't open in time to save us all that much tongue.gif. Still, you'll probably get a tow launch as opposed to a winch launch...which is WAY more fun biggrin.gif.

It's great fun. I've gone gliding loads of times, and flown on my own on a few occasions too. Can't beat it. Just don't expect to get to fly loops or anything fancy, you'll just stall and fall a few hundred feet. Nothing to be afraid of though. There's very little that can go wrong on a unpowered glider.

I've just come back from this - was very much fun - it was a winch launch (Tows were availble but cost more for no benefit when the cloudbase is low like today). The launch is definatly something to experience - 0-60 in about 3 seconds and up to about 1500' in 15-20 seconds. Also the relativly low flying height meant I could see every detail on the farms and campsites. And a low pass a few hundred feet above the trees at 100kts was exhilerating!

Uhhh... I realsie this is a little late, but; "Hot & Cold food & drinks available all day." - does this include the time in the glider? ph34r.gif

Apologies for the cruelty to punctuation in this post. I'm tired.
