I think 2 things.

1. This is very daft tongue.gif
2. That crazy frog is possibly one of the stupidest things I have ever seen. I am going to have to agree with oscarhilton and go with none of them.

For those who do not live in the UK and haven't been told of the crazy frog idiocy by anyone who does live here (like Ashbless)...just be glad you've never seen it. It would break your mind. It seems to have managed to appear at least twice in each advertising break on TV here and now in ads on websites too...complete with horrendous dance music. *shudders*

(but if you really want to know what it's advertising...ringtones. I think blink.gif )

Ashbless, did you ever see that picture on the web of a racing car and you were told to look at it for as long as you could without laughing why some random 'ding ding ding brrrr brrr' noise was in the background? This is the sound of the crazy frog, put together with the picture that OscarHilton posted. It has actually taken over all forms of advert breaks with its ring tone adverts.

My favourite? None. But the one with like, Axl C or something, it used the Beverly Hills Cop song and I really like that song.

Most advertising companies show different adverts depending on where in the world you are, so it's still only visible to the UK people. Ah, we're such a lucky little country.

Moved to 'Daft'.

When it is a choice between items then the question should be 'which'. A 'witch' is a person, commonly female, who is involved with magic. While I'm being picky, there are very few times that any post requires four smilies in quick succession. If you really feel that your tone hasn't been conveyed clearly enough that one smiley will resolve any doubt the reader has then try rewriting it. Smilies are for accents, short-hand notes on tone, they are not meant to be full sentence strings.

I once knew a third generation witch. He taught seminars on witchcraft to groups. Very nice bloke. He was gay too. The last I heard he was working for GAP.

Anyway, the only reason that people download the ringtone is because they know that it is annoying and like irritating other people.

The ringtone got to number one in the UK records charts, they've just released another single (which fortunately doesn't have much of the frog on it), and there will be an album later this year. They also choreographed a dance routine for Top Of The Pops that was essentially a cross between cheerleading, soft-porn, and a lap-dance for the camera-crew.

The dead one.
Buried 10ft deep in concrete along with the whole of Jamster, the creator of that damn thing in the firstplace, anyone who downloaded it or bought the album or has any connection to it.

and yes, I'm going to need to dig a big hole and get a lot of concrete.

I've only seen it in banner ads and on the news. They showed parts of the first music video and within those two minutes I wanted to jab forks into my ears.

Sometimes in this world, you come across good ideas that just get used to death until they become regarded as bad ideas (e.g. internet abbreviations, 80s pop remixed as modern dance music, reality television).

Crazy Frog was an awful idea to begin with. And became a diabolically, abominably, excruciatingly horrible idea. Jamster have made a hefty load of cash from something which is, inarguably, hated by everyone. Clearly, they made a clever executive decision in buying the rights to the 'image' and the 'sound', knowing full well they were going to corner the market for sheer irritants. My sister has to stop herself from vomiting everytime she hears the trademark "brr ding ding brrrding dah dah", and finds the frog's grotesque face equally nauseous. The fact that the 'song' (a remix.. aha!) reached No. 1 earlier this year with approximately zero radio air play makes me cringe, and is testament to the facts that novelty tripe will always appeal to the 'Amusing Gift' market that the British record-buying public is so laden with, and in-your-face advertising works.

... I wish I'd thought of it though.

Oh, so that's what little twit is talking about.

Yes, I had seen the Crazy Frog thing around but never thought it interesting enough to go look it up. Kind of amusing really that it got/is so popular.

I didn't have a problem with Crazy Frog Until I heard it for the 1,000th time. Then I grabbed the baseball bat. evil.gif

The Crazy Frog was annoying from day one. I don't need to hear him a thousand times to know that. Heck, he annoyed me even before it became popular to find him annoying. That's how cool I am. O yes. cool.gif

Thank God we don't have a TV though. As such, I am rather mercifully spared from hearing it every flaming ad break.

One little irony that has amused me though, is how the anti-Crazy Frog brigade have actually reached the stage where they are at least as annoying as the creation itself.

one question. WHY ARN'T THEY BANKRUPT? I mean I don’t know one person who has that ringtone anymore and the new ones are just dragging it way too far. I think the “more than one” could cover the dancing dragon thing and that bear whose fur is a nice vomit colour. Plus £2-4 for that???? WHAT PLANET ARE THESE PEOPLE ON??????

I rather liked the does-exactly-what-it-says-on-the-proverbial-tin aspect of the original twenty second long... thing. It was a Frog. And it was Crazy. And there it ended.

All this free-running disk-jockey stuff seems a bit tenuous though.

It's clearly a belly button!

I remember the first time I saw the advert, my dad was in the kitchen and he asked why someone was imitating a 2-stroke on the TV... why oh why couldn't it of ended there?!?!
