i mean, does it?
theres billions of them and they have to reproduce somehow.. but wouldnt that make some of them female? but they cant all be male??? confused. help please. -------------------- I seriously can smell your brains. mmm, fruity...

sperm starts off as little tad polls with 2 heads
1 head has a Y in it and 1 has an X in it the 2 heads snap and become 1 head with a tail so now you have an X tadpoll and you have a Y tadpoll now a lady as an EGG that egg is An X so when the sperm gets to the EGG the sperm that gets in has a 50% chance of being an X or a Y if its a Y the EGG becomes a Boy if its an X the EGG becomes a girl so girl = XX boy= XY so the boys sperm is thus XY which splits into 2 again and so it all starts again (tryed to make that as simple as posible ) -------------------- How long can we maintain? I wondered. How long Before I started raving and jabbering at these poor foke?

Probably. I didn't pay attention in Bio for this one, but they might be a-sexual. Meaning, they just split half and half to create new sperm. I don't think they have intercourse, tho'.

Sperm don't reproduce at all. They are 'manufactured' by testicles. They also aren't gross at all - thats semen you are thinking of there. Sperm are just cells in themselves. Squiggly little cells.

With egg and sperm cells though, meiosis is when the chromosome count is cut in half. This means an egg cell has 23 chromosones and a sperm cell has 23 chromosomes, which equals 46 and thats ow many we have  another tidbit of info is the 23rd pair of chromosomes determine if the baby is male or female  theres my lesson for today -------------------- |
