Are we talking actual insanity as in mental illness, or a tendancy to be a bit different (whether the person is trying or not)?

Very different things.

Perhaps a better word would be "random" but then again, there would be questions as to whether people can truly be random as all things we do and say are governed by other variables....

[and so she goes on...]

I say I'm completely sane, because
A) I have no mental health issues whatsoever involving my perception and grip on reality

Oh drat, i read the numbers and after 10 it said completely sane, so i voted at the wrong end of the scale. Does doing stuff puerly out of random compulsion count? Earlier i was bored and for no apparent reason i actually went "Beeeeeep" real high pitch like. The list goes on....

I'm highly different I guess, I used to hate my differences, now I revel in them like some kinda narcisist wanna be.
But no I have no mental illness'. Though some would like to call introversion an illness. To that I say, "visit the below link":

http://www.introvertnation.com/extroverts.html

--------------------
"I'm an introvert, I think you're wonderful and I like you, but please now shush"
"Science is just organised common sense"
"All generalizations are dangerous, even this one."
"You are unique, just like everybody else."

I nulled my vote due to fits of sanity in the scariest possible way swinging right a across the range to fits of complete randomness which are more expected from me. So me being sane is more likely to unnerve people thean the randomness and the there's the logic I can come up with which can make something which really shouldn't sound logical. So how can that be classified.

I also have to ask whether we are talking about just normal randomness and stuff or actual mental illness?

My friend and I (he is male, and plays alot of sports. I am female and don't) had a "Who can hold their breath for the longest?" competition last night on the way home from school. I won with 1 minute, 37 seconds. He almost passed out when he tried to beat me- and he only got to 1 minute 34 seconds...

That is pretty odd. But not insane, or random either...

I can also hold a note for 1 minute 23 seconds...

Have to go with Cath on this one, I can be sane to the point of terrifying and when I have one of my little, shall we say...phases I don't think ten even comes near it!
Example: I have been known to freak out Madame Cath...says it all I think.
