Well I don't need them but they would help.

I'm planning on making a large Union Jack made from denim jeans, the square brown bits making up the lines. The backdrop will be off cuts from the jeans and bums will be dyed the suitable colours. Its going to be huge, covering an entire wall of a room.

Unfortunately this means a lot of denim, I'm planning on touring all charity stores to buy them out, and I'm asking all real life friends to donate their old, too small, too torn etc jeans.

If anyoneís got a few pairs lying around they were meaning to take down to a younger sibling's place you couldn't send em to me could ya? Or ask your real life friends for some pairs.

Iím not sure how Iím going to do this, if you donít mind sending me some then PM me and we can work something out.

I've got some ripped pairs that I wouldn't mind sending, but I don't have any money to cover shipping costs. If you wouldn't mind covering shipping, I could send them to you.

I've just checked and I have four pairs that I don't wear due to bad buying/losing weight/very old. Any preference on colour?

Actually - one pair is an old pair of flares with a HUGE amount of fabric. If you want to PM me an address I'll get them packed and sent over the weekend.

I could cover shipping sure. Where in the world are you and any idea how much it would be?

Blue jeans would be preferable, but I don't mind.

Oh silly me.

London.

Edit: I think if the shipping would cost more than an old pair of jeans in a charity store then I will have to refuse I'm afraid.

Never mind then, the shipping costs are prohibitive. I hope all goes well with it, post pictures!

Mr. Teapot is trying to talk people out of their jeans. Why am I not surprised? laugh.gif

I'd love to help but shipping costs from Canada are also prohibitive. The project sounds great and will look excellent.

Ah, don't worry.

I've got a friend to give me a huge sheet of canvas to sew the jeans to.

Bottoms. If only I'd seen this you could've had some jeans at the weekend. D'oh! Would've been an excellent excuse for me to wear my new skirt instead of most of the men at the meet! tongue.gif
