I couldn't find a thread like this already, but after some quick internet searching I came across Hufu, a tofu product designed to closely match the taste and texture of human flesh.
Here it is on Wikipedia. Well, what do you think? Does this mean they can do anything with tofu? What other tasty tofu products would you buy? And most importantly, how do they know it tastes like human flesh anyway? -------------------- |

I loved reading "A Modest Proposal," but some of my stupider classmates thought that Swift had written it as a serious idea, so I got screamed at for laughing at one bit. Stupid gits. I suppose it could be useful, but I want to meet the research team that decided on the taste. Wonder if they found someone who donated their body to science and ate the leftovers or something. It's an odd thought, but how do you find out things like that? -------------------- |

It's an odd thought, but how do you find out things like that? I hadn't even thought of that. Ugh. But, then again, they could make it taste like just about anything and we'd not know any better. (Mmm-mm, who knew human flesh tasted of Pez?) Hopefully. And if you did, I don't think you're about to offer yourself up as spokesperson. You know. I just have an overly morbid imagination that rins wild trying to explain things like this. If they did then they aren't saying, but it's hard to know what other sort of meat they would use to compare with the taste of human flesh? How would they know which was closest? Seems like some tasty human flesh was involved at some point....

It says right on the site they flavoured it by different accounts of cannibals describing the taste so it may not be 100% correct. They also say that.

This thread makes me hungry. And it also makes me wonder where you buy this stuff. I mean, I haven't seen any at "Stop & Shop." Have you?
It just sounds so . . . desirable. Am I a sick person? Probably. Luckily, with modern tofu technology I can still exist more or less normally in society. Thank you hufu! -------------------- The purpose of nonsense is to be nonsensical.

I have this urge to rend one idiot boy at school limb from limb and then set him afire, but I manage it through playing pointless online games and assuring myself that I'll never see him again after high school. I exist more or less normally. I think we're all a bit psychopathic underneath.

So are they going to have different flavors? This couldlead to some interesting conversations-
Jeff- "I'm going to the store, do you need anything?" Mary- "Yeah, pick me up a bag of Steve, and some diet Brian." or Fred- "Eat me" Sam- *eats a spoonfull of Fred flavored Hufu* Fred- "How great am I?" Sam- "You're Fredtastic!" or Jason- "Hey Bill, Oscar, Hillary, Johnny, and Dave, there's a party in my mouth and you're all invited. Heyyyooooo!" The possibilities are endless. Well maybe not endless, but I bet there's way more than 14. -------------------- What do you mean you don't know me? I'm in IRC all the time.

Can you get it delivered?
