Hi everyone.

I've been doing a lot of soul searching in the past few days (not a lot to do when you're in the middle of Ohio with no one to talk to) and I've been looking at my old posts. I said I'd never do it, but I've come to realize that an apology is truly in order. It's long past overdue, I know, but here it goes.

To anyone I've offended or upset, I'm sorry. I was a jerk and I said some pretty nasty things in my early days. This place is like a family to me now, so I think I need to get this out into the open and just apologize. So once more - I'm sorry.

See, I haven't seen a lot of your early posts and I'll be buggered if I can find the enthusiam to check - I think I probably caught you just at the end of your 'offensive' stage.

I don't think you should be apologising though. Firstly, it was so long ago ago who's going to care? Secondly, are you drunk? Lastly, and in a possibly, truly PWM fashion, is this just a sneaky ego post? Waiting for us to tell you it's alright?

I liked that fact that you were totally forthright and pretty much spoke your mind - regardless of the consequences.

Oh - I am definately NOT trying to offend anyone with this post. wink.gif

I don't remember if you've ever been particularly rude to me, but I don't beleive you have. I joined recently, so so your obnoxious stage must have been pretty mush over when I joined. Possibly when I'm bored I'll go look for some of your old rude posts because I like looking at forum history stuff. Congratulations on learnining to be nicer and all, then. smile.gif I do like the blunt and short opinions sometimes. They tend to get to the center of the issue.

Oh snugglybum, you're a harsh mistress. Yes, I was coming off a rather serious bout of alcohol when I posted that. But I was thinking before that, reading over some old posts I'd made, reflecting over the old times and I thought that I had been a jerk, so I figured I'd make ammends.

That said, I don't take back the content of my posts, just the manner in which they were said. I still stand against angst and such things, but I've been thinking a lot about death lately, thinking that on the offchances I die soon I should leave on good terms.

I tend to think about death a lot when I'm in Ohio. That's porbably got something to do with it.

Even at the time I said that you often had good points but I disagreed with the way that you said them! If you weren't saying things that were useful and you were being offensive then I would have barred you back then but I always respected your opinions, although I didn't always agree. I just wanted you to express them in ways that wouldn't piss people off!

I'm really pleased that you've stuck around here. I know it's not easy to change your style of posting when you're writing about something that you believe in but I think you've come to a good point of being able to express yourself clearly without offending the people you're addressing. If you offend people then they don't listen. It'd be a fun world if shock tactics worked all the time but most people just go on the defensive.

Like I say, I'm glad you're still here! Even Capcom fanboys are welcome on my forums wink.gif

1 isn't a prime number 'cos of the rule which says, "A Prime Number is one that is only divisible by one and itself, except for 1 which doesn't count."

It does in fact follow the rule perfectly though. Prime numbers have two factors, 1 does not have two factors, therefore one is not prime.

As for 'y' being a vowel, I always went by how you formed the sound it made in your mouth. The y in 'yay' is restricting the air flow, making it a consonant, whereas the y in 'why' or 'rhythm' is just made using vocal cords and so is a vowel.

Since my scary math geek friend who wakes up at five in the morning on Saturdays to go to math competitions had a screaming fight with someone who was claiming that it wasn't. blink.gif I'm deferring to her scary math knowledge, but it's possible that she was just being stubborn again.
Y is indeed a vowel sometimes. You can't have a word without vowels, and many words have y as the only possible vowel.
